01.01.2022 Blues skies greeted the National Roaring Sporties racers for round 2 at the challenging Morgan Park As most of us had never been there, lots of laps were required to get the lap times sorted. New talents joined, at this round, being Johno Williams, also Sam and Ben Lucchitti , all with beautifully prepared Roaring Sporties.... Johno Williams won the Heavy Duty Pole Position Award in Superstock, James Downie won The Classic class Heavy Duty Pole Award. Combining with the other OZBEARS racers, 31 bikes gridded for our races and the pace was frenetic! Many daring manoeuvres with many late braking passes and close racing ensued for the duration of the 4 races. With great skill and daring, James Downie won all 4 races in "Classic" class by a whisker, closely followed by the raging pack. Ben Lucchitti finished second overall, his brother Sam third, with several others probing at every opportunity. Johno Williams won "Superstock"-for heavily-modified Sporties, Streetrods,XR1200's and 2-valve Buells- Pete Large was second on a XG750 Streetrod, and Brian March third. Ben Lucchitti also won the AussieBikeTours-sponsored "Robbie Hermans Hard Charger" Award. Soon after our races, several OZBEARS racers enquired as to getting into our Series, with new friendships struck and everybody enjoying the vibrant camaraderie, close racing and much frivolity. Parking together with our original "Roaring Sporties" banner provided a terrific nucleus for the admiring crowd and fellow racers. Not to mention our many supporters and ex-racers from the past "Roaring Sporties" Series. MotoProducts.com.au sponsored Superstock Trophies for this round, for which we are most Grateful. Roaring Sporties supporters now include, MotoProducts.com.au Aussie Bike Tours, Suomy Helmets,RST Boots, Motul Oils,103.9 Seymour FM and Heavy Duty Magazine with Pole Position Award for every Round! Huge thanks to all! Our next Round in Darwin on July31/august 1st may be cancelled due to border restrictions/covid. Phillip Island will be September 4-,2021. With at least 8 more bikes being built and ready this will be HUGE! SMSP (Eastern Creek) is scheduled for October 9/10,2021. The National Final date has been changed and will now be held on December 11/12,2021 at Broadford
