24.01.2022 Yet another fantastic attraction in the Wheatbelt....certainly worth the drive out for the weekend to have a look...

22.01.2022 Small and family businesses are the backbone and lifeblood of our community. Locals all across the regions have been telling me how important small and family businesses are to them and how much they contribute to the community. That is why I will fight to ensure that small and family businesses are given every opportunity to succeed. The Liberals Plan for Cheaper Power Bills will ensure that the small businesses of our local community have a secure future. ... Learn more here https://www.waliberal.org.au/state-news/cheaper-bills/
16.01.2022 Over the last few months I have been travelling across the regions talking with local farmers as they get ready for harvest. Many farmers are telling me they are concerned with keeping safe on our roads heading toward the busy end of the year and Christmas. I will fight to ensure our transport routes and local roads are properly maintained and upgraded, so farmers can effectively move their vehicles and... local families feel safe driving on our roads. Do you know of a dangerous stretch of road that needs maintenance or upgrades? If so comment below!
14.01.2022 Leigh, I can't thank you enough for the fantastic job you did at our Central Wheatbelt Campaign Country and Western night at the Old Talbot Hall ... everyone had a great night eating, dancing and listening to your music mate .... next stop should be Nashville for you .... Both MLC Candidates for the Agriculture Region joined in, Steve Martin from Wickepin and Kathryn Jackson from Geraldton along with a great crowd of people from all over the Wheatbelt and elsewhere, many ...staying over in tents and caravans ... the last to leave were the Duperouzel's on Sunday afternoon ... who can proudly trace their roots back to the first settlers of York and Talbot Brook with relatives still living in the area. Memories of how it used to be, not so long ago came back for many that were there. Country style food and deserts prepared by the talented Patty Forster using home grown beef, lamb and local produce. She also donated a magnificent patchwork quilt that was auctioned to a very willing crowd....Laughter, chatting, kids running around, no internet available and my Barrell Racing granddaughters opened the evening with a canter into the foreyard on horseback with Aussie flags flying and as they stopped we all sang Advance Australia Fair as the sun was setting on the horizon ... what a moving experience ... 13.01.2022 Every word Liberal MLA Simon O'Brien utterers in this clip has been on the mind on every thinking Western Australian...I have been active on this disastrous issue since I was made aware of it posting on Social Media, ringing people and sending emails to our Political Leaders.... IF I SAW THE DANGER AND WE SAW THE DANGER WHY DIDN'T THEY???? but, at last a Politician that is standing up to protect the jobs, State interest and National Security of this country. Just the threat ...of closure of this Refinery should have rang alarm bells for a State Government led by the Premier McGowan, but no.... he wants workers retrained.... WHAT ABOUT STATE SECURITY MR PREMIER??? We will see many more instances of this mans short-sightedness because he has no answers and never has... Covid 19 on which he did a good job will be the extent of his success... he has no vision or answers and never has. IF BP doesn't want to stay here, Western Australia should take back the asset because the Taxpayer has contributed massively to its original development and supported it through fuel purchase for over 6 decades. So BP have been fairly compensated . Let's find a provider that will commit to fuel production and protect us from dangers associated with no fuel supplies....Well done Simon O'Brien...... See more
12.01.2022 Have you driven past this unusual looking pub in the Wheatbelt? The Cunderdin or 'Ettamogah' Pub is a traditional country pub designed on the infamous cartoon...s by Ken Maynard. Walking into the bar is like stepping back in time, with locals enjoying a middy and sharing stories of small town life. There are accommodation options available at the back of the pub, as well as a great food menu with all the pub classics. Be sure to stop in at the Cunderdin Pub on your next Wheatbelt Weekend adventure through Road Trip Country.
10.01.2022 With the closure of the BP oil refinery and the ceasing of production by Pfizer in Perth, more local jobs are leaving Western Australia. This means all West Australians are relying on imports for their security of fuel and some medicines.
05.01.2022 The Port of Fremantle underwent a $250 million upgrade in 2011, the planned outer harbour is not required until at least 2055.
