24.01.2022 What an incredible night! Mental Health Awareness at its best! What amazing, brave people there were, sharing their stories of how they have grappled with mental health issues and the importance of seeking help. And, of course, the six Monties - you guys did a brilliant job! You were dedicated to the cause and worked so hard (with many others backing you up) to raise an unbelievable $50,000!!!

23.01.2022 We are sure that you’ve been inundated with emails and notifications regarding the closure of many businesses due to the State Government imposed 6-day lockdown. We can inform you that plumbers have been deemed essential services for the following works only: Clean running water Clean sewerage Hot water systems Maintenance and up keep of the following facilities: aged care, hospitals, supermarkets, service stations and any other work that has been deemed essential.... Robe Plumbing Service are happy to undertake any of these essential maintenance jobs. Contact Adrian on 0419821892 if you require assistance. Of course, we need to consider the health of our staff, so you will be required to answer the following questions before any works can commence: 1. Is there anyone in your household who is in self isolation? 2. Is there anyone in your household that has symptoms of COVID-19? 3. 21.01.2022 I’ve been a bit disorganised this year and didn’t have an organisation lined up to benefit from our quarterly contribution. As it turns out, it has worked out very well as this opportunity arose. This is a local cause we are so happy to support! We’ve been able to contribute $1500 in order to secure shopping items to support Robe-ians in these trying times. Well done Robe Football & Netball Club, Trilogy (Adventurous Spoon, Burger Co. Robe and Black Swan Robe) and Robe locals for doing what you can to help out our own!

16.01.2022 Big day in the heat today delivering Christmas kindness to some local families who could use it. 2 amazing families approached me to see if th...ey could make someone's Christmas special this year. I thought of 4 families straight away that we could help. Thanks to our wonderful family in Robe, our Christmas Saints from last year too, Kylie Johns and and her husband and gorgeous children set about making 2 local families, both single parents with children smile big this Christmas. They donated many wonderful gifts & vouchers, food vouchers to these families. Thanks to another of our avid supporters, Gail Richards and her beautiful family they also set about making 2 local families doing it tough, have a brighter Christmas with 7 children between them. They donated many gifts, vouchers, food and had other businesses contribute also. Then of course there was our new friend Justin from Naracoorte who sold us a fridge and donated a washing machine for our local single mum of 3 in desperate need of both items. He drove up tonight and we delivered the goods this evening. Accompanied with 2 x $100 Foodland vouchers donated by Jane Read from Mount Gambier Central Shopping Centre and the other donated direct from Foodland themselves. This is another example of what makes me so passionate about our community, from Robe, to Naracoorte to Mount Gambier, neighbours in arms unite to help lift one another and share in each other's fortune and hardship. Sharing and caring. Thank you to each family for receiving. It's not always easy to do, but by doing so in itself is truly a gift to those that are able to and want to give. Thank you to those incredibly generous and giving families that reached out. You got to see the tears of joy today and the direct difference your generosity made to these locals in need of a kind act. The cycle of kindness is a truly beautiful thing. 05.01.2022 It’s great to see students now have easier access to learn our trade!

03.01.2022 For the months of October to December we chose to donate a portion of our hourly rate to a couple of important causes. During a night out, I had a conversation with an amazing person who happened to be a social worker. This person deals with children who need to be placed with families as part of emergency care. She mentioned that when this occurs, the children take a backpack of necessities with them. She also mentioned that they are often short of these items and sometimes ...struggle to find items to give these children in what could be the most daunting moments of their life. Items as simple as socks is one of those things. They had almost run out and were needing more. I promised her that I would provide a shopping bag full of socks as I was heading to Mount Gambier the following day. If anyone has anything they can assist with, such as unused shoes, socks, nappies etc that can be donated, please let me know and I would be more than happy to pass these items on. The second organisation I have worked with is Four Reasons Why in Mount Gambier. Trudi Shelton is an incredible human being and founded this charity (named after her 4 children) to assist those who could do with a helping hand in times of need. I worked with Trudi last year to assist a single mother with a young family close to Christmas with groceries and gifts for her kids. This year we were able to help two families. It was so rewarding to know that we could take the pressure off these families at such a stressful time. If you are ever in a position to give back, please consider Trudi and Four Reasons Why.
