23.01.2022 For those of us who grew up in and around the Glynde area, we have fond memories of many iconic family-owned businesses that made this area a community hub for shopping and socialising. Among these was the famous Mario's Store, which opened in the late 1950s, and is now the home of Brunelli’s Cafe (photo circa 1959 courtesy of the Gabrielli family). Many of these businesses are still trading in the area today and have been joined by a variety of new ones. ... One that is still going strong is La Casa Del Formaggio (Sunbeam Ave, Glynde), which is celebrating 30 years this year. Still a local family-run business and now a national award winner. Congratulations to Claude and the team on reaching this milestone! Authorised by Robert Bria 4 Annesley Avenue Trinity Gardens SA 5068

16.01.2022 One of the key responsibilities of any council is to foster inclusivity, which includes providing access to community facilities. I am pleased that my request for Council staff to install a proper ramp for wheelchairs and and dedicated disabled car parking spaces near the entrance of the Trinity Gardens Bowling Club on Canterbury Avenue will be implemented in the coming months. Experience. Stability. Results.... Authorised by Robert Bria, 4 Annesley Avenue, Trinity Gardens SA 5068

12.01.2022 Whilst voting in SA Local Government elections is voluntary, it makes sense to have your say in voting for those who will be responsible for making the decisions that impact us all at the local level, for the next four years. If you haven’t voted and still want to, there is still time. You can drop your voting envelope into your local council office before 5pm tomorrow (Friday 9 November) and it will still be counted.... 02.01.2022 It was great to catch up with many of my mayoral colleagues from the metropolitan area, particularly those who are retiring from Council at this election. Congratulations to (L-R) Ray Grigg (Walkerville), Simon Brewer (Campbelltown), Martin Haese (Adelaide), Bill Spragg (Adelaide Hills) and Gary Johanson (Port Adelaide) for their dedication and service to their respective communities and to Local Government more broadly. 02.01.2022 We are now less than one week away from the counting of votes! It has been a thoroughly enjoyable and humbling campaign. I thank everyone who I have come into contact with, predominantly through my door knocking, but also through the many phone calls and emails I have received, with questions, suggestions and kind messages of support.... One thing I can say is that my accessibility during this election has been no different to my accessibility during my time as Mayor. I have always prided myself on being available to residents and ratepayers from across our City. During my term, I have met hundreds of residents at their homes, and business owners at their shops and offices, to discuss the issues that matter to them. If re-elected, this will continue. See you out there in the last days of the campaign! Experience. Stability. Results. Authorised by Robert Bria 4 Annesley Avenue Trinity Gardens SA 5068.

01.01.2022 Earlier this week saw the last Council meeting for this term. Despite being in the caretaker period, the business of the Council goes on. It was pleasing to see this Council reinforce its financial credentials recording a $4.09 million Operating Surplus for 2017-18.... However, it was sad to say farewelll to three Councillors: Paul Wormald (34 years), Luciana Marcuccitti (15 years) and John Frogley (12 years) who are retiring at this election. Combined they gave more than six decades of service to our community. Thank you to all of you and I wish you all the very best for what comes next.
