First confirmed date is Sunday 3rd February 2019: This short trip is a continuation of the Sunday Cockatoo Run Vintage Tourist Train Run which offers a journey from Robertson to Moss Vale return on most Cockatoo Run Sundays. 24.01.2022 All those who love steam locomotives might like to come to our station on Saturday 9th November. Shuttle services will be running from Moss Vale to Robertson and return. The train will not set down or pick up passengers at Robertson but it will present a wonderful opportunity for photos and something to delight young and old alike. Restored Steam Locomotive 3526 pictured is a visual delight and worth looking at up close as it stops briefly at our platform. 20.01.2022 Dear members and supporters, Message from the CEO of TRANSPORT HERITAGE NSW This time of year is usually full of festivities, with work and school winding down before the holiday break. ... Due to the ongoing bushfire emergency across New South Wales, Christmas 2019 is not looking so merry for many people. On behalf of THNSW, I offer my thoughts and prayers to all volunteers, staff and members, and their families, who have been personally impacted by the devastating fires. At the time of writing this message, we have an active fire near the NSW Rail Museum. At the moment, the site and our people are safe. We have prepared the site and relocated some items of rolling stock to Sydney, as the weather conditions are set to deteriorate over the weekend. I would also like to thank all of our people for their support and assistance in managing this emergency. I urge everyone to follow the advice of the relevant authorities. Please do not travel to bushfire affected areas. The NSW Rail Museum remains closed until further notice. THNSW is family, so we are here to help our people where needed. 18.01.2022 This Sunday 28th July 2019. The ROBERTSON LOOP TRAIN - No pre-booking. Tickets sold from 12 noon. First in First Served Basis - Tickets Sold until train arrives - be prompt! The Cockatoo Run / The Robertson Loop Train trip usually starts around 12.30pm and returns around 3.30pm. There can be an hour & half to two hours in Moss Vale, so families may like to plan a picnic lunch for the stand-over time, or go to a cafe or restaurant. Times vary as heritage trains can sometimes... require extra turn-around work. Schedule of Fares: Adults $10 Concession $ 5 Kids over 5 years $ 5 Toddlers (under 5) Free Family (2 kids, 2 adults) $25

17.01.2022 Cockatoo Run Loop Train ride. Would you like to ride on the lovely old carriages of the Cockatoo Run Tourist Train to Moss Vale and return to Robbo next Sunday 23 Rd. June? The train operators kindly allow Robertson Heritage Railway Station ( a not for profit community group) to sell tickets from noon on Sunday. The cost is $25 for a family of four, $10 for adults and $5 for concession holders and children. These funds help us to continue to operate. So why not indulge in a dose of nostalgia and treat yourself to a fun trip on this great old train. For information phone Steve 4885 2393.

13.01.2022 COME TO SEE THIS SUNDAY 19th November 2017 - The Highlander scenic day trip to the Southern Highlands (Bowral & Moss Vale) and return via Robertson and the Illawarra line behind recently restored 1950s diesel-electric locomotive 4201. Passengers may alight for lunch at their choice of Bowral, Moss Vale or Robertson. The tentative timetable specifies that the heritage train will stand at Robertson station between 1.40pm and 4.00pm.

12.01.2022 No Steam Train to see this Sunday :-( Message from David Bennett from TRANSPORT HERITAGE NSW to let us know it is "with great regret we have decided to cancel this Saturdays Moss Vale Steam Shuttles". " Therefore please remove the reference to this event off Facebook so were not inconveniencing people we would appreciate it. Again, my apologies and we hope to return to the Highlands in the New Year.

Special Note: THIS SUNDAY 13th May 2018 - THE HIGHLANDER HERITAGE TRAIN - Hauled by heritage diesel locomotives 4201 and 4490, the train will arrive at Ranelagh House platform from Sydney (12.26-12.31pm) then Robertson (12.32-1.13pm) before proceeding to Moss Vale. It will remain at Moss Vale until 2.55pm before returning to Robertson (3.28pm-3.42pm) and Ranelagh platform (3.44-3.49pm), then proceed to Sydney via Wollongong.

06.01.2022 The Robertson Loop - Not happening, Unfortunately we have received news from the train operator, 3801 Limited, that they are not going to Moss Vale on this occasion as they couldn't get a track pathway at the time required Robertson to Moss Vale and back for Sunday 3rd February. Of course The Cockatoo Run will still be coming and be here from about 12.30pm to 3.30 pm.... We apologise for this disappointing outcome but this is beyond our control. Since this run is the first of more to come, we hope, the intention is to resume the Robertson to Moss Vale run at a later time. See more
