22.01.2022 Petrol prices have jumped across the Gold Coast as travel restrictions begin to ease. From this weekend we are allowed to travel up to 150 kilometres from home. RACQ spokesperson Renee Smith says service stations had been offering fuel for under $1 per litre but after a month of record low prices, the cost of petrol is rising.... Ms Smith says petrol is expected to reach $1.20 per litre as part of the regular price cycle. "So with this cycle the cheap prices do always come to an end." "The timing is incredibly frustrating for motorists though of course, we enjoyed those record low prices when hardly any of us were using our cars and now that the restrictions are easing theyre going up."
