23.01.2022 Happy Long Weekend Everyone!!

23.01.2022 Today, our Kinder children went on their first excursion! With our hi-vis vests and hats on, we were ready to leave the centre to walk to the park. The children loved seeing the train at the new station and we even met one of our friends at the park! Great work kinders! So glad we were able to explore our local community and see the hidden treasures at the park! I can't wait for next Friday already!

23.01.2022 The children had a great time learning all about being a Firefighter from Jason, Heat Kids. Even better that they were able to dress up as Firefighters and complete an obstacle course and even learnt how to give a puppy CPR! How clever! I think we may have a few children with the dream of becoming a firefighter now!

23.01.2022 Come on down to our Family and Friends Community Open Day today for lots of fun! We are here till 1:00PM. There is Face Painting, Balloon Twisting, Jumping Castle and Lots More!

21.01.2022 It was wonderful to see the children being involved learners today as they expressed and explained what was happening in front of them using their language skills and senses (hear, see, touch, smell, taste). Children are confident and involved learners. Children are effective communicators.

21.01.2022 Encouraging good habits starts at a young age, this is why our Children are given the opportunity to participate in weekly sports classes. Each Thursday we have a sports class for all children (babies included) within the centre with multiple sessions that are designed according to the age and development of each child. The children learn different ball skills as well as many other gross motor skills, balance and co-ordination that can be transferred to daily tasks.

20.01.2022 There are many benefits to learning multiple languages at a young age. This is why at Robins Nest, the children in our Kinder room are encouraged to learn Mandarin and Italian in a fun, exciting and care free manner. With weekly Mandarin lessons and access to the ELLA program to learn Italian, our Kinder children are having fun while exploring the wider community, culture and learning new words and phrases that they can use at a later date.

20.01.2022 We hope everyone is healthy and surviving the COVID-19 pandemic! Especially with the limited resources and supplies we can now buy at one time. It is a tough time at the moment with the unknown of what may happen. Our thoughts are with everyone that is affected by the virus. At the moment we are still open as usual and taking enrolments. We have upped our precautions on health and safety during this tough period to protect the health and well-being of all families and educators at our centre. If you are still looking for care and would like to book a tour of the centre, please contact us on 9584 2430, email on [email protected] or message us through our face book page. We understand this is a scary time for all parents and families, keep smart and wash/sanitise your hands as much as possible!

19.01.2022 We don't let the weather disrupt us from our day. Our Kinder children made the most of the puddles at the park while wearing their raincoats and gumboots. We also discovered many different types, colours and shapes of autumn leaves along the way

18.01.2022 Welcome to our newest enrollees! Introducing Qote (Cutie, lop ears) and Bcst (Beast, White patches) to Robins Nest ELC. The children have delighted in meeting and naming our new friends and will play an important role in looking after the Rabbits and learning about pet ownership and responsibility.

14.01.2022 Thank you so much for all of the support that our families have given during this week as we raise money to help our Aussie Farmers during this difficult time. As of this morning we have raised $391.50 with still more time to go. We are so proud that we are able to give our support to those in need and that we have the backing of our amazing families. The donations of such yummy food, money and other items has been so generous. Congratulations to our first winner of our lolly jar guessing competition Sharon and Oliver who correctly guessed the number of lollies, enjoy your prize! We still have two more jars to guess and win.

13.01.2022 Wishing all our friends and families a safe and healthy Easter this long weekend. We hope you all get to spend some quality time with your family while staying safe at home!

12.01.2022 Happy Friday Everyone! We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!! If you are out and about this weekend on a walk or bike ride, don't forget to come by and say Hi to our Robins Nest Spoonville community! ... Our little Spoonville Village is slowly growing and is located in our garden bed out the front of the centre. Everyone is welcome to add a spoon to our Spoonville Village and join our little Robins Nest community.

12.01.2022 Our Kinder teacher, Tugba, loves exploring writing and encouraging the children to find passion and creativity for words. We understand that children learn at their own rates and that not all children have an interest in learning how to write their names, but we love to have these opportunities available for the children to participate in and help their friends. The children love seeing their progress and sharing it with their friends, families and Educators.

12.01.2022 Our excursions are not just offered to our Kinder children, all of the children within the centre are encouraged to participate in our regular excursions. This was our Nursery children on their first excursion to engage with the community and view the trains at Southland Station. How exciting to be able to get into the community, see what happens around us and meet new people.

11.01.2022 Happy Early Childhood Educator Day! This day is to celebrate Australia’s Early Childhood Educators for their wonderful contribution to the wellbeing and healthy development of all the young children in their care. It’s a chance to say thank you to Australia’s Early Childhood Educators on a very personal level by service operations, families and their children, as well as collectively at the national level. ... Robins Nest ELC would like to thank all educators for all their hard work throughout this crazy year! During all of the unknown Early Childhood Educators still showed up for work with smiles on their faces and a can do attitude, to continue teaching children in their care everyday. For this we are grateful for everything our educators do and THANK YOU for your continued support you provide to all children, families and fellow colleges.

10.01.2022 Today there was some road work’s happening out the front of the centre. A few of the children had the opportunity to see the digger in action. They were so excited laughing and waving while they watched the digger dig big holes and move the concrete around. They also asked questions like what they were doing? They even got a loud beep beep hello and wave from the man driving the digger!! Children contribute and connected to their environment and community.

10.01.2022 We encourage our children to take risks within their play in safe environments as it stimulates their learning and knowledge of what they are capable of achieving while also developing life long skills. We encourage them to keep trying when faced with a challenge while being careful and mindful when exploring their skill limits.

09.01.2022 Only two more sleeps until our Family and Friends Community Open Day! We are very excited for everyone to come down and spend the day with us. There will be a jumping castle, face painting, lots of yummy food, centre tours and much more. The centre will be open from 10:00am until 1:00pm, so come down and join in on the fun!

09.01.2022 Puddles of fun today in the Nursery Room!! A small group of our Nursery children had the time of their life today on their excursion as they jumped in giant puddles. It was lovely to see them all so excited and eager to investigate and explore the wet weather conditions within their natural surroundings!!

07.01.2022 When Children are given opportunities to engage with sensory materials on a regular basis not only does it allow them to develop greater sensory ingratiation but also to develop self-regulation skills through calm and interesting experiences.

04.01.2022 A beautiful child lead experience by our Toddler children of Pilates in the outdoor environment. Children learn so much from what they see their parents and family do and it is so great to see them transfer and repeat that knowledge to teach their friends.

03.01.2022 How great do the Kinder's fruit Kebabs look! We always try to use the freshest food in our daily practice and encourage the children to choose healthy options. These Kebabs are a fun and healthy way to eat a variety of fruit!
