14.01.2022 The next in my series of Wildlife Art workshops is booked for Sunday 17th November. Book by 10th November to secure your place. :) Looking forward to seeing you again!

14.01.2022 There are some pieces of art that you are happier with than others. This piece from 2003 is one of those. This Ringtailed Lemur profile was a finalist in the Waterhouse Natural History art prize. I didn't win, but someone loved it enough to buy it. :)

13.01.2022 Mickey A very special commission for a dear friend. (Oil on canvas).

11.01.2022 Fast forward a month & I’m almost half way through this commission. I draw & paint from life as much as I can (as you will see from the leaf litter I’ve collected from the forest). All the branches, moss etc. are also from life. The Devils from photos I’ve taken at wildlife parks. I will often invest days or even weeks getting all these elements together before starting on a painting.

09.01.2022 Currently working on a commission. This section is just part of the larger painting which is of a parent Kookaburra bringing food back to its nestlings sitting outside the tree hollow. This shows the transition from the line drawing to the oil painting.

06.01.2022 My entry this year in the Holmes Art Prize. "Above the Snow Line" https://www.facebook.com/The-Holmes-Prize-For-Realistic-Australian-Bird-Art-1065007380246108/

03.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who attended my talk & demo today out at Eskleigh. It was a wonderful turn out & I really enjoyed meeting & talking with those who attended. I look forward to seeing some of you at next month’s workshop.

02.01.2022 A sneak peak of what will be included in my next workshop on November 17th. Still a couple of spots left, but get in quick & book before the 10th. (See pinned post for details).
