08.01.2022 Had a great day yesterday hosting a Zoom RoboCup competition with our local Primary School. Senior RoboRebels have been working with teams from Narooma Primary School to help coach Robotics teams. COVID restrictions meant we had to quickly think on our feet and restructure the competition to run via Zoom. As you can see it didn’t stop the learning or the laughter!

05.01.2022 Virtual Zoom RoboCup competition. Narooma Primary School teams danced, rescued and coded up a storm. Senior RoboRebels mentors had been working with teams from our local primary school. COVID meant we could not hold the competition at our school so it was over to Zooom! Great work everone!

05.01.2022 Belive YOU make a difference!

03.01.2022 Greetings! I'm a FRC mentor (#5503 Tiger Trons) that has recently befriended (and funded) FTC team #18287 in Eswatini Africa. There are currently 9 teams in the... Kingdom of Eswatini, and if they can get to 12 teams they can have more competitions before they must travel beyond their borders, which in Africa is really expensive. Working with FIRST South Africa has been a wonderful experience, and really eye-opening. Mainly on the extreme difficulty of getting parts and even game pieces. Some teams never see an actual game piece until they get to competition! Contemplate your season with that little twist! I am seeking to gather people who can work with me to reach 3 goals- 1. Fund (3) full FTC KOP, there are teams formed and waitiing. I used the travel money(personal) that I did not spend when last season was cancelled. My total was $1392, but rookie years are always a big cost. 2. Figure out a way to get spare parts to these teams, and make sure that every team has at least one game piece each season. 3. Work to match FTC teams in the US with African teams in need of mentors. We all know how fundraising is supposed to work because we do it every year in our own teams. Africa is different, the teams I am working with are rural and most families live on less than $2/day per person. Do the math and figure out how long it will take them to raise money for a rookie KoP, and travel, etc. Please PM me for more information. I have been so impressed with the FSA teams, and I plan on staying involved with them for the foreseeable future, they have certainly expanded my horizons. Thank you. My email is [email protected] if that is your preferred contact method. * Update- we now only need (2) more teams to reach our first goal. Team #18295 was just funded!!
