14.01.2022 Case Study; An Oldie but a Goodie Recently Robotic Systems had an old case study recognised and published by National Instruments, a supplier of industrial automation hardware and software. Robotic Systems is a Alliance Partner of National Instruments with our software staff being certified by the company as experts in their software and hardware packages. The case study in question is the installation Robotic Systems did, for Vivid Festival in Sydney in conjunction with Inte...l. A 6x6m caged structure was built in Martin Place (practically a GPS dead zone) for attendees of the festival to fly and battle drones within. Robotic Systems developed a proprietary localised triangulation system using time-of-flight of radio waves to position multiple drones within the area and prevent them from crashing into each other or the surroundings no matter how hard the users tried Read the full post on National Instruments Blog here; https://forums.ni.com/t5/NI-Blog/Game-of-Drones/ba-p/3850416 Thanks for reading Oliver Bamford

05.01.2022 Robotic Systems Weed Sensor in the Media Last year Robotic Systems and our partner Single Agriculture achieved a significant milestone with our airborne weed locating system; Single Shot. As such we were published in an issue of Australian Grain magazine. To give you some background on the system: The Singleshot Sensor identifies and geo-locates areas of green on brown from airborne images to generate a file used by boom spray systems for controlling the required nozzle for t...argeted herbicide application. Some example benefits of the Single Shot Sensor; - Reducing the amount of chemical that is used and overall chemical costs; - Reduction in herbicide resistance from targeted chemical use; - Out-performing existing boom mounted spot sprayers in cost of application, weed identification and stubble occlusion; - The capacity to treat weeds by their size; - Providing the mechanism for differing types of selective control from a hoe through to cultivation or robots; Read the full article on Page 21 over at Australian Grain’s website; http://www.ausgrain.com.au/Back%2/283sogrn18/283sogrn18.pdf Thanks for reading Oliver Bamford
