18.01.2022 Robot Obedience School is considering offering a school holiday activity for younger children aged 6-9yo featuring a basic robotics program. We need some help designing the format. How can we best serve the community? One 3h session only Several 3h sessions over several days One full day 9am-4pm... 3 days packed with fun activities 9am-4pm Something else? We need to know what works for both parents and kids . We recognise that we need to cater for parents who work , but also the younger kids who have a limited attention span... We look forward to seeing your feedback, and please share this post with those who would benefit from such a program. See more
17.01.2022 Its LEGO season again... FIRST LEGO League season. FIRST LEGO League is an awesome program for kids, covering ages 6-16. Students learn about robotics by buildi...ng and programming their own robots, learn teamwork and problem solving skills, and work on a science project. FLL runs over four months August-December each year, meeting 1-3 times per week. Teams prepare to attend a tournament where they present their project and compete against other teams in the famous Robot Game. (Note that 2020 tournaments will likely be virtual.) Robot Obedience School will be running Explore "Play Makers" and Challenge "RePLAY" programs in 2020. We will have a rookie team and we will provide training and mentoring for beginners. Please contact us for more information. Our teams are home based and meet outside of business hours. (Responses may be after hours.)

08.01.2022 Jack Aakhus We very much appreciate you giving Team Robotic Innovators an alternative, and very accurate, name. I have memorialised your contribution with this graphic. Lets see if we can get this design put on the team shirts before the Nationals...
06.01.2022 What does it take to make crazy robots? It takes a crazy amount of LEGO! This is a small part of our collection that we use at Robot Obedience School to support our FIRST LEGO League activities. Our season kickoff is this Saturday. We are still accepting registrations for a limited time.
05.01.2022 The FIRST LEGO League Challenge has three parts: Core Values, all about teamwork. Robot Game - build a LEGO robot to do missions and earn points. Project - research the topic, find a problem, come up with a solution, and tell people about it. Teams prepare for 4 months to attend a tournament (may be virtual this year), where teams compete for awards!... Through FLL, students put their ideas to the test and search for solutions that work. FLL develops social skills and self-confidence, more enthusiasm for learning, and improves STEM skills. Participants in FLL programs have improved chances of attending university. Contact Robot Obedience School today for more information and your child's opportunity to participate in the 2020 FLL season. Starts August 4.
03.01.2022 Has your child done plenty of programming, but you are wondering what to do next? How do you take your child's STEM skills to the next level?
