14.01.2022 Here at Phonics With Robot Reg, we LOVE nursery rhymes and bringing them to life with puppets and props. Experts in literacy and child development have discovered that if a child knows 8 nursery rhymes by heart by the time they are 4 years old, they are usually amongst the best readers in class by Year 3. Nursery rhymes assist children to hear the rhythm, beat and rhyme of words, learn early maths skills and develop hand eye coordination and fine/gross motor skills with actions. They are a wonderful way to open a world of literacy to children from an early age. 08.01.2022 At a Phonics with Robot Reg class there is a dedicated time to dance. During this time the children build their gross motor skills and arm strength which in turn helps them with their handwriting.

06.01.2022 Another easy play set up...we used a flattened cardboard box to make a road. Letter car park bays were added along with cars with matching letters!
