24.01.2022 The Red Dust Heelers fell just short of a podium finish in 2016 but can they improve and win a final this season? Preview here: http://bit.ly/2qUYJfk

20.01.2022 Heelers came away with a great on court win tonight against the Australian Gliders - big thanks to Ryan Morich for his Welcome to Country and an extra special t...hanks to Glider, Amber Merritt, for her beautiful rendition of the National Anthem. We also had some great off court wins! Firstly it was fantastic to have both teams working together in running the come and try event -We loved seeing so many people of all ages enjoy watching and trying to play the game! Thank you Gliders! Secondly, we feel like winners again when we think about all the wonderful staff, volunteers and supporters who go out of their way to get behind the team and it's message of inclusion and we cannot thank them enough. Lastly, it was so wonderful to see some of our Roelands Village family in the stands - we would not exist if not for their support and encouragement and we are so proud to represent them everywhere we go. Last game tomorrow at 11am Wally Hagan Stadium!

15.01.2022 It was pretty special to have my folks watch me race for the first time today at the Triathlon World Championships in Chicago. The race definitely didn't go as ...planned as I had a mental goal of finishing 5th, but crossed the finish line absolutely cooked in 6th place. It was a new PB with a time of 1:14:42 which was a minute and 20 seconds faster than I have ever raced before, but I know I have way more. 6th means I'm right on track for qualifing for Rio Paralympics, as the top 7 athletes in the World automatically qualify for Rio. #WTSChicago #RoadtoRio #noXcuses

14.01.2022 Ok, so tomorrow morning is most important race in my triathlon career. Alarm is set for a 4am wake up for a 7:15am race start. 8:15pm Perth time and 10:15pm Sy...dney time. Due to a forecast thunderstorm the race could be drastically delayed or changed, but fingers crossed it all goes as planned. To watch the race there are few options: First option will be installing the app Periscope on your phone and following @brantgarvey as my parents will be using my phone to stream as much of the race from my mobile. You can get the app here: https://www.periscope.tv The second option will be http://www.triathlon.org/live Will have live updates and 3 fixed cameras for the race start and finish. You can also get live timing chip updates from here. Thank you everyone for the support and I well and truly feel the love from all the way over here on the over side of the world. See you at the finish line.

13.01.2022 55 weeks until the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games! To countdown, we'll be sharing an historical fact each week about our Team through time. 55 years ago, Kevin Coomb...s became Australia's first Indigenous Paralympian when he competed at the very first Paralympic Games in Rome in 1960. The wheelchair basketball pioneer went on to compete at four more Games. Here he is at the Rome 1960 Opening Ceremony and again, this year with our 2016 Chef de Mission Kate McLoughlin. See more

03.01.2022 Congratulations to Derek Richards and Corey Lawton who made their debuts for the Red Dust Heelers tonight, in round 1, against the Kilsyth Cobras. Both gave the...ir all, and did the Red Dust colours proud. Unfortunately it wasn't enough as the Heelers went down by 14pts 55 - 69 to the reigning premiers. Stand out performers were; Adam Deans 14pts 9rebs 3ass Clare Nott 6pts and dominating all the low pointers.

01.01.2022 A message from the Outback Academy - Very proud of all Red Dust Heeler players, supporters and community members. From no finals in 2014 to runners up in 2015 ...a great effort from all. Well done! Congratulations to all teams for competing in a fantastic finals series and to Kilsyth for their home court win, a beautiful moment for their club, team and supporters. Remember NWBL is fantastic for us, but one part of why we exist. In 2016, with our new sponsors, we look forward to reaching communities all over Australia for Wheeling and Healing. Go Heelers, and as Tom Powell reminds you all Spread out and stick together.
