25.01.2022 It’s great that we’re having a discussion about architecture and buildings. Here are just a few of my favourites.

21.01.2022 We pause today to reflect on and remember the loss of life in war, in the hope that future generations can avoid such terrible events. Thank you to all our service men and women, past and present. Lest we forget.

12.01.2022 Was a pleasure to take a trip to beautiful Port Macquarie and visit the Koala Hospital which the NSW Government recently gifted 6000sqm of National Park, so they can expand their precinct and continue doing wonderful work to care for and rehabilitate our national icon. Was also great to see the local member Leslie Williams. #portmacquarie ps this koala is called Myrtle and she’s pregnant!

12.01.2022 Iconic buildings and structures put Sydney on the map, and it's so important that we maintain design excellence with new projects. That's why I'm delighted to today announce that we've appointed 100 leading experts to the State Design Review Panel. They'll provide expert advice on state significant development and infrastructure projects. They've had great success already with projects like the revamp of the Australian Museum, which re-opens to the public this weekend. ... And you'll be relieved to know that Treasurer Dom Perrottet MP was not one of those selected for the esteemed panel.

12.01.2022 As the first ever NSW Minister for Public Spaces, it truly was an honour to be one of the judges for the inaugural Public Space Ideas Competition. I believe it’s the government that makes grand plans across entire cities, but it’s local communities who know their neighbourhood best. Whether it is a patch of grass near home, or an empty laneway on the way to the train station all public space can be reimagined.... Well done to all the winners and highly commended but also to all the entrants who took the time to submit an entry! 11.01.2022 The Women’s Resilience Centre will be holding their online launch event this Thursday 26 November at 7:30pm. The Centre provides accommodation, mentoring programs and resilience life skills courses to support women on the northern beaches, north shore and central coast who have recently left short-term crisis accommodation. Programs are for both residential and day attendees, and will assist women and their children toward long-term recovery and finding a permanent home.... Former NSW Opposition Leader Kerry Chikarovski will be opening the online event and you can register at https://kapara.rdbk.com.au/landers/fc94e3.html More information about the Women’s Resilience Centre can be found here https://womensresiliencecentre.com.au/

09.01.2022 We have today released detailed precinct plans for the Western Sydney Aerotropolis and surrounding areas which will cater for 200,000 new jobs, a record infrastructure investment and stunning open spaces. Turning paddocks into a thriving metropolis around an international airport isn't cheap. It requires significant investment from all layers of Government and landowners who will benefit from the uplift in value as a result of rezoning. We are seeking feedback on precinct p...lans for: o Aerotropolis Core o Badgerys Creek o Wianamatta-South Creek o Northern Gateway and Agribusiness Precincts Have your say on the plan here: https://www.planning.nsw.gov.au/aerotropolis

08.01.2022 As Churchill said - never waste a good crisis. A century ago the Spanish Flu changed urban planning and how people lived. I believe COVID-19 will do the same. Now is the time to rethink how we do things and innovate. Interesting piece in the Sydney Morning Herald today https://www.smh.com.au//covid-19-to-reshape-sydney-in-bigg

07.01.2022 Introducing Demolition Dom and Restoration Rob! As I said on Sunday, my mate Dom Perrottet makes an excellent Treasurer, but an appalling heritage architect. We had a great time touring the old White Bay Power Station with Inner West Mayor Darcy Byrne.... I believe this building is not only worth saving, but should become the centrepiece of future plans for the Bays West Precinct. You can see more of our tour on Nine News tonight.

03.01.2022 Great to visit The Link Community Care at Warriewood with the Premier Gladys Berejiklian today! Link’s Carehamper and Foodcare programs provide affordable cooked meals, groceries, fruit and vegetables to assist local families. With the service growing during the pandemic, Link’s local volunteers have worked tirelessly to help our community. The Premier presented program founders Glenn and Clare Wysman with the 2020 Pittwater Community Service Award to recognise their swift an...d charitable response during the pandemic. Thank you Glenn and Clare, and all the wonderful Link volunteers for your service to others.
