09.01.2022 There have been many false rumours circulating recently about myself, Rob Taber, including being a plant for the National Party. This is completely false. If this statement was true, why am I NOT preferencing the National Party? Other candidates may preference who they wish. I am not preferencing any party or anyone. Voting for me as an independent means your vote stops with me. People have already approached me for their preferences, my answer was and still is no. I am a bu...sinessman and as such, I ensure I can communicate with everybody. The key to running a successful business is being approachable, friendly and communicable. I have a great rapport with all of my customers, colleagues, peers, government representatives and community. I have the ability to listen and respect alternate views without creating hostility. My commitment to this election was made with a great deal of thought. It is not an easy task but one of great financial commitment, combined with increased engagements and pressure on the family. If you believe you can do a better job, I encourage you to run at the next election. For now, I believe I can capitalise further on my results for the region, by standing as your true independent candidate in the hope of working for you all and providing the region of New England with the representation you actually deserve.
