13.01.2022 In this time of isolation and intensity in the world it is important to reach out for support as needed. It is also important to find a good quality practitioner who will offer you the type of support you require. Be discerning. For many years I have been practicing as an online mental health professional. Mastering mental health support via the internet. Offering healing and evolution through one on one sessions, groups, courses, and special events. I am super sensitive, st...rong, focused, light, and have a passion for supporting people to arise out of whatever may be impeding them. I offer a playfulness, simplicity, grace, and purity in a grounded, relatable, and accessible way. I have a knack (or an ease) for breaking down what may be in the way of people blossoming and living their potential, allowing for an increase in awareness and understanding, and am known for holding people in the most exquisite warmth and care. If you would like to book a counselling session with me (Robyn Jones) please click on the link below. All bookings have been moved online, and all sessions are conducted via Zoom. https://RobynJonesCounselling.as.me/

10.01.2022 Hello Everyone, You may have heard the term #toxicmasculinity in conversation or the media. It is a hot topic and exposing the abuse of #masculinity on men is an area I am quite passionate about. In response to this I have designed a 4-week online course for men to explore, discuss, and debunk masculinity in a group setting and the quite often unknown effects it has (and is having) on men and their sense of health and wellbeing. Simply looking at the male suicide rates and th...e fact that masculinity is a #significantriskfactor is enough for me! The #course doesn't stop there though, because it is important that men be supported to become more aware of the toxicity of masculinity... but it is also important that men are supported to #nurture the #trueman that lies within them. The True Man that may have laid dormant for a number of years, but one that is ready, willing, and able to begin to bubble up to the surface again. This will be a supportive and safe group to explore all this and quite possibly more (depending on what is presented throughout the weeks to discuss and explore). This is for all men, so please discuss and share with family and friends. Places are limited to allow adequate space for everyone to contribute to group discussion. Any queries or questions, also bookings, please contact me via the details on the attached brochure. Warm Regards, Robyn

09.01.2022 Had a great week, with great outcomes for a number of clients...and it got me thinking about psychological well-being. I've worked for nearly 20 years as a psyc...hologist, and in that time have changed the bar bar of what psychological well-being means to me and also for my patients. Once I would have been satisfied with having provided some basic psycho-education about various conditions, which is very helpful in itself. The approach in my early career was to alleviate symptoms as quickly and effectively as possible, which worked to a certain degree. Later in my career, and with more experience, I became unsatisfied with the approach, observing that even with the relatively short term alleviation of symptoms, there was still a deeper level of dis-ease within people, (and myself to be honest), that was often not addressed in short term counselling approaches. My approach now considers a deeper joy and sense of fulfilment in life, that most people seem to have given up on ever feeling or experiencing again. Psychological well-being needs to consider, as a basic measure, the depth of joy, vitality, engagement and openness that people experience in their lives. Many of us miss this feeling on a daily basis, looking for various substitutes such as food, drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, even yoga and emotional upheaval can be "fillers" that we engage - as a way of filling the void we feel within. Psychological well-being addresses the fact that we feel this void and looks at all the ways that avoid feeling this void - beginning to bright more awareness to certain habits and ways of being that leave us feeling drained and empty. The core of who we are, our inherent natural state is of a child like exuberance for life - now who can say they don't miss that? See more

06.01.2022 Member of the week Robyn Jones from Robyn Jones Counselling and Healing Services After many years of working as a counsellor Robyn returned to uni to complete ...her Honours in Psychology. With one more year to go, a passion for psychological research has been ignited who knew! She is currently enjoying researching and developing a ground-breaking wellness model that supports people to live well in an ever increasingly stressful world. No easy feat, but completely life changing in so many ways! She is available for individual and group sessions online, face to face presentations and discussions on sensitive topics such as the effect of masculinity on male mental health and self-care/self-nurturing for women (which is sadly lacking), along with workshops and retreat days based on her wellness model research. In fact, on Saturday 9th March Robyn is holding a Retreat Day for Women in Kingscliff NSW. For more information on this go to www.livingmedicine.com.au/retreat.
