18.01.2022 Mud mud glorious mud Exploring the gorgeous Sassafras Creek today. Feeling the mud squishing through our toes before rinsing them of in the cool creek water. Meeting other FDC Educators and our Co ordinator to enjoy a group excursion out in the peaceful bushland. The children get the opportunity to explore and interact with children from others Educators. They become familiar and begin to develop social bonds between the children and the other adults...a big positive privilege of Family Daycare

18.01.2022 The gorgeous sunshine returned, so we ventured out to explore Tim Neville Arboretum in Boronia. The children enjoyed the playground and of course our yummy picnic lunch. Another highlight is going for a stroll along the paths and bridges, watching the ducks swim under our feet. A fun place to visit...kids gave it a

16.01.2022 One of the many benefits of Family Daycare, is the opportunity to venture out into the wider community. Today we explored Seville Waterpark and Playground. We met another Educator and her FDC children, Kelly. This gives the children a chance to meet and play with new friends. Connecting with other educators and their children, is an essential part of developing the childs sense of Being, Belonging and Becoming. (Parents permission to post)

14.01.2022 RJ Hammer Arboretum in Olinda was the place for our adventures today. We met Kellys fdc and then exploring began. The scenery and peaceful feel of the bush seems to create a relaxing and calm atmosphere. We could hear birds calling and see the cockatoos fly above the tall trees. We walked down to the dam where we could see the reflection of the surrounding trees. On the way back up, all kids had a turn of walking untill the end steep bit..then the pram was used. They collected pieces of wattle on the way. Picnic lunch then running and sliding on the grass hill, chasing and kicking balls and throwing Frisbees. Gorgeous and fun day

13.01.2022 Getting out and about exploring our natural environment at bush playgroup. Creating crowns decorated with natural materials, crossing over the bridge watching the water run underneath it, exploring bush tracks and of course enjoying a yummy picnic...all part of our adventures we experience in Family Daycare.

09.01.2022 Today we visited Healsville Santuary. We were lucky to have a gorgeous day. We explored the whole santuary and spent 6 hours there! Family Daycare allows children to explore our community and all the exciting places it has to offer. Many learning opportunities for all the children. ..even the adults learn a thing or two.... Thank you to my schoolies for their help to make todays excursion a fun learning experience. See more

06.01.2022 Today we met Kelly and her fdc kiddies at Yarra Glen park. The children display familiarity and confidence in their adventures and play at this park. They are able to practice and refine their motor skills and explore the environment in a safe and confident manner. They enjoy engaging in play with other children who they meet during their play. Family daycare is a great opportunity to venture into our local community

04.01.2022 We celebrated Childrens Week by attending the Maroondah Council Childrens Day at Croydon. Bestchance Child Family Care and Bestchance Training had a stall and we met 2 other Educators there too. It was a busy day and loads of fun and learning activities for the children to explore. It was a great opportunity to venture out into the community and help spread the family daycare word.
