As part of a small family group of centres, our teams get the support and guidance to deliver high quality programs for children and families within each community where we are located. About the Role The position includes working in our toddler room, supporting the learning, environments and experiences for the children at our centre. The successful applicants will lead and implement our toddler curriculum. Applicants are required to have knowledge and experience with this specials age group, and understand developmentally appropriate practices, have a positive image of the child and view toddlers as competent and capable. As the Lead Educator you are responsible for designing a curriculum to support the needs of children's in this space. Knowledge of primary caregiving/key worker type care would be advantageous. This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong team and help embed a special culture of respect, professionalism, community focus and fun into our centre. Your mature and pragmatic approach to achieving a respectful, child-centered environment is critical. Diploma in Early Childhood, current Blue Card, First Aid and Asthma/Anaphylaxis Certificates. Substantial experience working in an LDC environment. Demonstrated commitment to the Early Childhood Education profession including sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework and its practical application in the LDC environment. Sound knowledge of Early Childhood Education models, particularly the Early Years Learning Framework,. Team leadership and relationship building skills, coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills. 08.01.2022 CLOTHES SWAP THIS JULY ! Early Birds Rochedale is hosting a Clothes Swap! We are currently looking for donations of children’s clothes to create our ‘clothes swap space’. Refresh your child’s wardrobe and help fighting climate change by donating your child’s clothes that no longer fit. We invite you to donate preloved but in good quality - clothes and swap them for something else!... Our plan is to organise a clothes rack outside our Centre where parents can swap children’s clothes during this cold month of July. If you have any clothes you would like to donate please leave them at the front office with Miss Sherry or Miss Sue. Once we have enough donations, we will have our Clothes Swap space up and running. Thank you!

03.01.2022 Did you know Jenelle (Our Early Childhood Teacher) celebrated her 20 years of service with Early Birds earlier this year? In January 2000, I started a new chapter of my teaching career when I walked through the doors of Parfrey Road's "sister" centre at Jimboomba. I was a city girl who suddenly found myself trying to fit into what was then a semi-rural township. I found my feet and began to appreciate both the quieter pace of Jimboomba and the steady, supportive staff and lic...ensee's. At the end of 2009, when the opportunity arose to transfer to Parfrey Road (which was 50 kms closer to home than Jimboomba), I decided to take the chance. I knew I would have the same support and caring licensees and the Parfrey Road family embraced me as the Jimboomba community had. Many new centres have popped up everywhere during my time with "Early Birds" but I feel all our centres (Parfrey Rd, Jimboomba, Marden and Forest Lake) are FAMILY- that's what keeps us here. Our centres have the endearing feeling of family and community. I am so grateful for this opportunity to celebrate 20 years of service with such an amazing company! Jenelle Early Childhood Teacher
