12.01.2022 We are busy planning for our December Market. The Twilight Market has a "Shop N Go" theme this year, encouraging people to shop and go. The Lions BBQ will be in operation, although we encourage you to eat in the surrounding parks and gardens.

10.01.2022 Gyms around Australia have been some of the hardest hit by lockdowns, and the same is true for Matt. After a decade serving in the Australian Army, Matt came h...ome and found himself running beach bootcamps over Christmas in 2011 at The Gym Yamba. Although he started with only one member, they grew slowly and steadily - at one stage Matt even partnered with the neighbouring Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor to move in to a larger space. Restrictions have been tough, and for three months, they shut doors to their clients. Matt's done what he could to offset the financial loss by running outdoor group training sessions, which quickly became 1-on-1 sessions under tightening restrictions. Matt employs a COVID-safe Marshall to protect his clients while anyone is on the premises. He says his clients have taken to sanitising protocols, social distancing and all other new rules like ducks to water. They're just glad to hit the gym again! Matt still has a positive outlook, choosing to do the best he can while he gets on with providing exceptional services to his clients. So whether it's with Matt in Yamba, the personal trainer around the corner or your local barre instructor, #golocalfirst for your fitness needs!
