24.01.2022 All Venues Killed It At Their First Freshmeat Sessions This Week!! They all had amazing turnouts and we still have more to join us & we literally can’t wait to meet you all!! Rockabellas have banded together and worked really hard to come back bigger than ever since our whole season disappeared due to unfortunate circumstances.... In hindsight, this has been a great time to take the opportunity to reflect, renew & rebuild. We have been able to return to training and fine tune our basic skills, whilst using this time to have a successful Rolling Intake leading to an even more successful Freshmeat Recruitment. We are smashing goals and putting our best foot forward towards a bigger and better year & season in 2021!! Across all 3 of our venues, we have over 53, you are definitely reading this correctly that’s a whopping 53 Freshies in both our Senior & Juniors Teams!!! And it’s not stopping there, we still have more that will be joining us shortly which is even more exciting!! We can’t wait to work along side of our new members and be apart of their Roller Derby Journey!! 23.01.2022 Our Lovely Southern Freshie ‘Raven Nevermore’ is taking part in the Strong Women Challenge. Raven will be Stepping Up for women’s rights and committing to doing 137 step-ups every single day for one week. 137 women are killed every day by their partner or a family member... If violence against women was a disease, it would be a global emergency. The money you raise will provide emergency safe spaces where women escaping violence can get legal advice, heal from trauma and learn new skills to earn a living.Show the world you support an end to violence against women and stand with strong women everywhere. 21.01.2022 Rockabellas had their ‘End Of The Year Christmas Gathering’ on the Sunday 06th December 2020. It was a great day out with our senior & juniors friends and families! We had to all run and hide from the flash rain but once it cleared up there was lots of laughs, good food & great company! ... There was even an entertaining game of volleyball!! A Big Congratulations to MJ for receiving the Bella of The Year Award for 2020. MJ has put in so much hard work into the league & her dedication and passion has not gone unnoticed and we are all appreciative for all that she has done not only this year but the last 2 years!! Thank You To All That Came!!

20.01.2022 At Rockabellas we are striving to develop, support and build our Non-Skating Officials & Referee Crew the ‘Titans’. We are SO EXCITED to announce that we are the first Roller Derby League in South Australia to be apart of the Coloured Shirt Program - Office For Recreation And Sport & Play by the Rules - making sport inclusive, safe and fair. ‘COLOURED SHIRT PROGRAM’... The Coloured Shirt Program aims to increase retention, value and appreciation of all officials by making beginner or inexperienced officials easily recognisable in green shirts. The program helps to educate all participants, including players and spectators, about the demands, pressures and supporting the needs of all beginner officials. Sports provide mentoring and support to the new official, and promotes awareness of the program and its aims. The Coloured Shirt Program is based on the successful SANFL 'Red Shirt' program that helped umpire retention at the grassroots level. New officials wear green shirts. Please support and respect them through your positive sideline behaviour. If you see officials and umpires wearing the green shirt, then it's important for you to know they are beginners. As with any learner, they may make mistakes. Without officials, sport would not survive, so it is up to the clubs and associations of each sport to build a positive culture of support for officials. We have received RRDL’s official Coloured Shirt Program ‘Green Shirts’. Check out how fantastic our learning officials will be on track! We can’t wait to grow our officials team - Juniors & Seniors and support and nurture them to be the best that they can be!

Blocking Kay: I'M DOING IT IN A DRESS BECAUSE...THIS IS A CAUSE CLOSE TO MY HEART. I WILL BE DOING DERBY FRESH MEAT IN A DRESS. ... 130 million girls around the world are out of school. Educating girls not only changes the lives of those girls, but also their families, communities and countries. Not only that, but getting more girls in school will have a positive impact on climate change! A win-win-win. I'm putting on a school dress to raise awareness and raise funds for girls' education. Because when I put on a dress, I'll be helping girls in Sierra Leone and Uganda put on a school dress and take charge of their futures. Help me change the world through girls' education! They are both Nominated for the 2020 Southern Suburbs Volunteer Service Awards for all their hard work that they have provided the Senior & Junior Skaters at our South Side Venue!! They have had such amazing personal growth as trainers and have helped develop the skills of all our wonderful South Side Skaters.... Rebel & Nitro have been there from when the crew was a small side, to what it is today! South Side are growing with members rapidly and they have done an amazing job & continue to do so!
