24.01.2022 Well that was Rock & Rodz 2016 and here comes the rain again.....how lucky can we be! A super duper huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported us and Camp Quality. Yes we had less cars and people but I hope that those who attended had a great day full of music and a bit of sunshine! We have a few bills to pay but as soon as we know the final figure for Camp Quality we will let you know. Thank you all once again!!

Remember that this event is a major fundraiser for Camp Quality and it is all about supporting those families dealing with childhood cancer.

18.01.2022 As the saying goes : all good things must come to an end. The committee of Rock & Rodz would like to announce that 2016 was the last Rock & Rodz. Not a sad decision - more a practical one. The committee was going to lose 3 of our fantastic members for personal reasons and there are not many of us left. We have dodged the rain for 8 years but our luck was going to run out so we all decided that we wanted to finish on a high note. In 8 years Rock & Rodz has donated over $150,000 to Camp Quality - a huge achievement!!!! A MEGA THANK YOU to everyone that has supported us along this wonderful Rock & Rodz journey - there are way too many to mention here - without you all this wouldn't have been possible. So, in the wise words of Porky Pig: That's All Folks....

12.01.2022 Don't forget to bring your picnic or chairs to Rock & Rodz. We can't put any cars on the oval so there is a huge area to sit back, watch the dancing, listen to the music and enjoy some beautiful sunshine........The oval is also a good safe area for the kids to play...

11.01.2022 Rock & Rodz is nearly here..... Where else will you get to see such fabulous acts as Matthew Garwood performing as Buddy Holly, Victoria's The Strayz and Tassies own: Crazy Flatz and Skooterz. AND more : Dj Jack V8, Miss Kitty's Meow Burlesque, Rockabilly dance demos and lessons, Go-go dance lessons, fashion parades ...... And you can enjoy this fun-filled day for an itty bitty $12.00 per adult and children under 16 years of age are free. AND.... it gets even better - bring along your pre-1970s vehicle for display and the driver gets in for free......Rock & Rodz 2016 is going to be HUGE!!!!!

06.01.2022 We have the best prize for our raffle this year !!! This awesome one-of-a-kind handcrafted clock has been donated by our own clever signwriter - Peter Baker. My photography is not doing it justice so make sure you check it out on Sunday because it is well worth winning. Guys, this would look amazing in your man-cave! Tickets are $5.00 each and as you know all proceeds go directly to Camp Quality. (ps. if you are wanting to contact Peter for your own special piece to be made give him a call on 0363 430 394,he constantly amazes us with his creativity and skill)

03.01.2022 It is competition time!!!!! We are giving away 2 adult passes to Rock & Rodz on October 2nd 2016. We will be drawing the winners at 6pm Sunday 25th. Good luck!

02.01.2022 Nearly Rock & Rodz time........... Just a few reminders : Prices are : Adults $12.00 (and we love the correct money xx) Children under 16 are free Sorry but NO alcohol and NO dogs... Feel free to bring your picnic blanket or fold up chairs, but we have moved the main stage to the oval so there is lots of grandstand seating. There is also seating inside where the Archers Manor stage is. There is only one gate at the Longford Football Ground (at the end of Smith Street). Only the pre-1970 display cars/vehicles will be allowed to enter the ground as we are very limited on car parking space. Unfortunately Google Maps doesn't show where the Football Ground is but if you search for 41 Smith Street, the ground is just past it. Most importantly : Rock & Rodz is run by a group of volunteers, all of whom are trying their best to put on a great show. We ask that everyone follows our instructions, especially in regards to access to the ground and car parking, as we are all a little tired of being abused. It makes us want to continue with all of the hard work involved if we can have a great day too! See more

01.01.2022 The Committee of Rock & Rodz Inc are thrilled to announce that the profits for Rock & Rodz 2016 have been handed over to the wonderful Shane from Camp Quality. In case you can't read the amount on the huge cheque in the photo, this year it is another $20,000!!!!!! The massive total in 8 years is now $148,000!!!! Wowee - and a super duper THANK YOU to everyone who came from all ends of the state and beyond and made this all possible (especially when the weather was a little ...bit iffy this year). A big WELL DONE to Jane Leech for taking on the role of Secretary and the other hard working members of the Committee for stepping up as Dave and I start to let go of the reins. It is a huge job to organize, set up, run and then pack up an event such as ours (and we are getting a little bit older!) so we are always on the lookout for more volunteers - especially some younger blood. Again, THANK YOU to everyone, have a safe and happy Christmas and we look forward to seeing you all at Rock & Rodz 2017. See more
