25.01.2022 The fashion component of one of the worlds great historic motoring events, the Bay to Birdwood, got some fab featuring in the Sunday Mail today! "Fashion has always been an important feature of the Bay to Birdwood, said National Motor Museum Director, Paul Rees. "For 39 years, the ultimate vehicle award, the Concours dElegance, has included points for the period correct clothing of the participants - matched to the era of the vehicle. Add to this the Fashions in the Field c...ompetitions, which are a non-vehicle based fun comp run during the day. Then theres a large portion of the crowd that just get dressed up for the fun of it all. This just makes the whole event an amazing spectacle. The fabulous vehicles plus the fabulous people that participate." Come along and join in the fashion fun with some choice outfits, or simply come along and admire those that do. Get ahead of the pack and buy your general admission tickets in advance online through the Bay to Birdwood or National Motor Museum website. Https://store.motor.history.sa.gov.au

13.01.2022 British comedian and vintage car owner and enthusiast, Alan Carr, was hosted by National Motor Museum staff on this day three years ago. He was driven around th...e Adelaide Hills in a 1960 Vauxhall Victor Special, a 1926 Model A Ford and a 1958 Chrysler Royal. He had a wonderful time and was mighty impressed with the museum and the Hills (we stopped by Kersbrook Hill Wines and Cider for some lunch) as well as many of the popular spots when one has the opportunity to Visit Adelaide Hills. The only regret he had was that we was six weeks too early to participate in the Bay to Birdwood! Maybe we should invite him back? Here he is doing what he does best...making us chuckle as he encounters the VR driving game that was at the museum at the time. He managed not to get sick on the windy roads of the Hills, but the VR game defeated him!!
