23.01.2022 We are proud to show you our new school uniforms. PSW have done an amazing job of developing this collection. We hope you love them as much as we do. There are no logos on them at the moment as we are waiting for our new school name - but as soon as we can share some of our ideas for logos we will (we'd love your feedback!).

23.01.2022 Natalee and Simon busily looking through our enrolments today, please keep them coming!

16.01.2022 We are so excited to be here! This is our new temporary office at 25 Woodlea Boulevard (the old Sales Office). It's been lovely to meet so many of you already. We have had lots of people calling in to drop off enrolment forms for their child/children. If you have completed your forms, please don't forget to attach a copy of your child's birth certificate and immunisation statement. We are here Mon-Fri 9am - 4pm. We look forward to meeting you all.

15.01.2022 +++++++++++++++++Great News+++++++++++++++++++ We have been in contact with PSW (our uniform partners) and they have informed us that uniforms will be available at their store in Deer Park from 14th Dec 2020. Find attached uniform range, store details and price list.

14.01.2022 On Wednesday 23rd June our students were lucky to attend a presentation by Martin from The Resilience Project. Martin is an amazing presenter, he is funny, thought provoking and very engaging. On Thursday 29th July at 6.30pm our wonderful parents/carers will get the opportunity to come to the school and listen to Martin speak about Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness in a way that will make you laugh and cry. I will send more details out soon, however for now, please save the date. Enjoy your break.

12.01.2022 Our Year 5 & 6 students participate in electives at Aintree PS. The students explored Community-Based Art and discovered how art can inspire transformation. They began to understand the meaning of a mural and the value of collaborative art. The students had fun creating a work of art while working with other students in their class. I think you will agree, they are stunning, well done students.

10.01.2022 Just a reminder that Friday 25th of June is the last day of Term 2 with an early finish of 2:30pm. We wish you all a happy and safe school holiday period and hope you get to spend some quality time together as a family. We look forward to seeing you all back for Term 3 on Monday 12th of July.

08.01.2022 This term the Foundation students explored the topic ‘Seasons’. They looked at seasonal changes and discovered how artists represent the different characteristics of weather. They focused on different printing and painting techniques and experimented with colour, texture and pattern. The Year One students looked at how artists represent ‘Birds’ in a range of different forms. They experimented with various drawing and painting techniques to show qualities of line, colour and texture.

07.01.2022 Wow - we have just hit 200 enrolments. We are so excited! It has been so nice to meet so many of you over the past two weeks. We have confirmed most enrolments via email, however some emails have bounced back to us. If you are yet to hear from us, please email the Assistant Principal on [email protected] . We will be back after the school holidays on Monday 5th of October. Don't forget to vote for your favourite school logo - on our Facebook page.

07.01.2022 The Year Two students investigated landscapes and cityscapes in Visual Art this term and recorded their responses in drawings and paintings. Students explored ways of incorporating their own knowledge and the artist’s interpretations into creating new artworks using paint, markers, soft pastel and pencil. In Year Three and Four students looked at geometric and organic shapes and how artists, such as Joan Miro and Henri Matisse, represented shapes in expressive ways. Students explored painting, collage and weaving and were provided with opportunities to reflect and discuss the processes and results of their own and others’ artworks.

05.01.2022 Information Update: Warning - a long post ahead!! Enrolments: 350 enrolments and still growing!!This is fantastic and we are positively overwhelmed by this huge number. If you are yet to put your enrolment form in with us, please do so as soon as possible. If your child is transferring from another school, please let them know that you are moving to Aintree Primary School. This will help us to complete a data transfer accurately. School Visit: We have had a school visit tod...ay and it is simply amazing. It was wonderful to see furnished classrooms and learning spaces that look so engaging, fresh and new. Although not finished yet, we were absolutely thrilled to see it near completion. Uniforms: We are expecting that families will be able to purchase uniforms by the end of this month. They will be available from PSW School Uniforms in Deer Park. We will let you know when they are ready. School Hours: At this stage our school hours will be 8:50am - 3:20pm. Before & After School Care: Our providers are Big Childcare. The enrolment process will be online and this information will be available soon. Parent Payments & Book Packs: We are close to finalising our costs to families for school fees and book packs in 2021. We are anticipating it will be approximately $250 per child per year. We will get this information to you as soon as we can. Transition & Tours: Although restrictions are beginning to ease, we still have quite strict guidelines set out by the Department of Education as to how we conduct tours, transition visits and parent information sessions. We are hoping more restrictions will ease soon so we can organise tours and transition sessions. We will keep you posted. Book Donations: We will be looking for donations of good quality children's books in order to set up our classroom libraries. We will accept new and old books of any sort, as long as they are suitable, clean and in good condition. Although we can't accept donations just yet, once we move into our school, we would love to accept as many as you can offer. Staffing: We are still recruiting our staff. Jobs at Aintree PS are highly sought after but we are confident we are gaining some great people. Simon Cornock, Natalee Vallence & Leanne Holt See more
