18.01.2022 Hi Members and Friends We have just received the latest update from the ACTA CEO Paul Gilbert. The ACTA has just now adopted My Clubs My Scores as the national shoot management system and will be available to ALL ACTA clubs in 2021!... As well as the shoot management system ( Like we already use), MCMS and the ACTA are also starting the implementation of electronic handicapping. They will use all results at all clubs entered into the system over the 2021 year to populate the database and provide a smooth transition to full electronic Handicapping in 2022. Say goodbye to your paper Shoot Book. I believe this is one of the biggest steps forward in clay target shooting since the implementation of Phono Pulls and Automatic traps! A big thanks to all who supported our clubs use of this system, as I believe without clubs like ours supporting the system, and pushing Zone and State bodies, this may not have happened. At this stage, 2021 will not be any different for our club or our members except that the ACTA is now paying for our use of the system, which will save our club in the vicinity of $400. If all goes well and the full handicapping system is implemented in 2022, then changes will be made as outlined in the letter below. The long and short of it is, you will no longer have a "Book". You will have an electronic "Membership Card" on a smart phone app and you will present that card to nominate ( or self nom on the app as we have started doing), or an alternate method will be made available for those who don't have access to a smart device. Again, thanks for everyone who supported our use of this system, it has made the shoot secretary job a lot easier to manage, and 2022 will be even more so! If you have any questions, let me know

18.01.2022 The Rockhampton Clay Target Club Hosted our Annual (but just a little bit late) 2 Day Carnival over the weekend, and what a massive weekend it was! 154 Total shooters graced the layouts as well as families and guests. It was a little warm, and we had some niggles with traps and power, but we made it through. A big thanks to all the travelling shooters for visiting our club! We certainly hope you enjoyed the Hospitality, Targets and Prizes!... A couple of highlights for the weekend were Adam Bylsma Winning the Double Rise and Handicap on the way to winning the overall handicap 1 Point Down, 239/240! Excellent Shooting. Lil Brandt outlasted all comers in the Double Barrel, besting Shawn Ryan at the end of the Shootoff, scoring 183/183! And the Central Zones newest member of the 25m Club by coming second in the Handicap is Joe Taylor from Blackall, congrats Joe! To the tireless workers preceding the weekend and during the event, a big thanks to all for your efforts. The grounds were impeccable, Thanks to Mark, Nathan and the team for their efforts leading up to the event. Thanks to Mick and Mark and the trappers for all the efforts with the traps. The Food in the kitchen was exceptional and a credit to Liane and Rosie and their team. Aaron, Simon and Tim and all who helped with the bar kept the fluids up to everyone in some rather warm conditions. Great job lads! A big thanks goes out to Lil, Pete, Judi, Miles, Steve, Adrian, Annabell, Sheridan and Janene for helping me with running the office and shoot Marshalling. All your help is greatly appreciated! To all the sponsors of the event, thanks very much for your fantastic Support, our club greatly appreciates it! - The Outpost - Arms and Munitions for the fantastic trophies! - Peter and Matt Quinn at Essex Grazing - Patcol Group Engineering - RGM Maintenance - Onsite Hire - Country Allure for the fantastic Prizes for the Multi Draw - Studio 32 - TANBY ROSES FLORIST YEPPOON - Rockhampton Mavericks Western Wear We Hope you all had a great weekend, and we look forward to seeing you all again soon! https://reports.myclubsmyscores.com/5249c17/winner.all.html
