Janine will be available on Weekends by appointment and is able to provide services for those people may not be able to get time off work. Janine is a Member of the Australian Association of Social Workers and brings with her experience working with several government and non-government organisations such as Rockhampton based organisations including Quee...nsland Health, Youth Justice, Foundations Care, Centacare and Carinity Communities Wahroonga. Janine’s areas of interest include working with couples who have found their relationship needs some help, general counselling and has an experienced background in working with children and adolescents. Janine works from a client centred, solution focused framework and has an easy going, non-judgemental personality, which enables her clients to feel comfortable to discuss their worries and concerns in a safe and supported environment. 08.01.2022 Given the great work everyone in Queensland has made on the COVID19 response, and with the early lifting of restrictions even further, I have decided that commencing next Monday 8th June - I will back at the practice office at City Heart Medical and conducting a transition back to face to face sessions. There will continue to be telehealth sessions for those whom prefer or are in rural locations.

01.01.2022 Federal Budget announcement tonight - $5.7 billion for mental health - Doubling of support under Better Access, from 10 to 20 Medicare-funded psychological services This means GP Mental Health Care Plans increase from 10 to 20 sessions per year. Great result. I will post more detail once further information is released in the coming days
