08.01.2022 It goes without saying, this has been a very tough time for small businesses right across our State. Some have already been forced to shut their doors. Many ha...ve had to radically change how they operate. Plenty more are worried about what the future holds for them and their staff. Small businesses employ nearly half a million Western Australians. Right now, they don’t just need our help: They need our business. So if you’re in a position to, please, spend some money with them. Get a coffee, buy a takeaway meal, get that book you want to read from an actual bookshop. Buy something you’ve had your eye on. There’s so many of your favourite local businesses that are still open and need your patronage. Just make sure you follow the laws and guidelines around social distancing and hygiene. If you’re a bigger organisation needing some work to be done, get it done locally. Engage a local small business that has the capability. Our small businesses help make up the fabric of our community, and we want them to still be there on the other side. Together we can help keep small business in business and Western Australians in work.
