22.01.2022 LEVEL 0 REF COURSE REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN! 14th & 21st October 6 - 8pm (Both sessions compulsory) As some of you may not be familiar with the process of becoming a referee, I have outlined below the process which occurs once the course has been completed.... 19.01.2022 GAME NIGHT OPPORTUNITY | NBL1 Live Stream Producer The SBL has a new name and fresh new look, with Basketball Western Australia (BWA) joining the NBL1 family. NBL1 West is a new way of delivering basketball to West Australian’s and the world. Each game of the 2021 season will be Live Streamed through the NBL1 website and NBL App, with unprecedented highlights packages delivered for our players and new viewing experience for our League.... In partnership with BWA, the NBL are seeking expressions of interest from those interested in becoming an NBL1 Live Stream Producer. The role entails becoming the primary contact on game night for the NBL broadcast team and the set up and operation of Live Stream equipment and commentary gear (excluding commentating). The successful application should possess; An understanding of basic video camera operations An understanding of basic technical set up A love for sport and a passion for excellence Producers will receive and honorarium of $100 per double-header game night for their services. 16.01.2022 The Rockingham Flames are pleased to announce the appointment of Dean Horsington in the important role of General Manager. Dean has an extensive sports background of over 10 years previously as CEO, Football Operations Manager and District Manager of the Claremont Football Club in the West Australian Football League. He has coached junior basketball at a local level as well as playing A-grade and representative basketball in Victoria.... Dean is currently returning to sport from retail, where he managed a team of over 100 staff and learnt many new skills. I am really excited to join the Flames and transfer the mix of my previous skills into this role, he said. I cant wait to be a part of such a community-based club and work with the amazing volunteers I know work in, and around the club. I would like to help ensure the junior competition remains strong as well as making the WABL and SBL as successful as possible. I look forward to meeting you all when I start in mid-October.
