20.01.2022 Vipers very own Shannon Whales football team Peel Thunder have got themselves into the WAFLW Grand Final playing against Subiaco. Shans is Number 11 like she is in Vipers and will be playing in the backline. Kickoff is 2.40pm tomorrow (Saturday) and is being televised on Channel 7 for anyone who doesnt mind watching a game of football Lets get behind her way to go Shannon proud of you.

20.01.2022 Today all three teams were at home against the Thunderbirds which is the temporary merger of the Claremont Jets and Perth Blitz for this season. In a very hard fought battle of the top two teams in the junior competition the Vipers won an exciting game 20-18 The women were next up and in a determined mood being 4-0 on the season and being the only team in the comp being undefeated they were up against a very good ladies team who as the blitz they had never beaten. After bein...g down down a score early on the ladies powered back to run out with an impressive 40-8 win this now puts them at 5-0 for the season as we reach the halfway point. The senior men’s game was preceded with an Indigenous smoke ceremony which was very well received by players, officials and spectators alike. Although being very short on players this week the Vipers eased to a comfortable 44-12 victory. Next week sees all three teams back at home for the rematch against the West Coast Wolverines the juniors will be looking for a good game this time round as the last fixture was forfeited by the Wolverines team. Whilst the ladies will be looking for a repeat of their Round 1 win. The men will be out to avenge the shock defeat in round 1 against the Wolverines in what is expected to be a very competitive game. The action starts at 3pm and there will be a canteen serving hot food please come down and support all three Viper teams and wear maroon.

13.01.2022 With the Women on a bye and the Juniors yet to start their campaign the Senior Mens team made their way up to John Maloney Park to take on the Westside Steelers. Despite horrendous weather the men eased to a comfortable 56-0 win against an improving Steelers side who kept going to the very end. Next week sees us at home for the first time this season at Larkhill Sporting Complex where all three teams take on Curtin Saints kick off times as follows... 10.01.2022 Today was Week 4 of the season and all three Vipers squads were in action with our first home games of the season at Larkhill Sporting Complex against the Curtin Saints. First off the block were the Juniors playing their first actual game of the season due to previous forfeit and battled through the wind to run out 20-0 winners in a rerun of last years grand final. They are now 2-0 for the season. Next it was the ladies turn and they continued their perfect start to the se...ason with a convincing 46-6 win and they are now 3-0 for the season with an impressive 142 points scored with only 6 conceded. Finally it was the men’s turn and even though short on players they battled to a 54-30 win against a tough Curtin Saints men’s team. The men are now 3-1 for the season. Next week both the Juniors and Ladies have a bye whilst the Men travel up to John Maloney Park to take on the leagues newest team the Vincent City Ducks.
