09.01.2022 If you don’t know Leah Read here’s an introduction. Leah has been apart of the Campdrafting and Challenge world for years and has had a very successful career. Earlier this year Leah put 3 great cutting mares through the Nutrien Classic sale for us and did an outstanding job. After seeing her talent first hand we couldn’t let her go. Leah is now our resident trainer at Rocking P Performance Horses. Where she specializes in Campdraft & Challenge horses and sale preparation. She had her first debut in cutting on Saturday at the Condamine Snaffle bit on Shorty’s Last Dancer. Last out she came out with a smashing score of 75 for the win. I’m sure we will be seeing those awesome duo again very soon.

07.01.2022 Well known Campdraft and Challenge competitor Leah Read competed in her first NCHA cutting event at Condamine on the weekend, and went home with the blue. Phil Dawson caught up with her after her run to find out more about this talented rising star.

07.01.2022 Rocking P horses had a successful show in the Toowoomba Open Snaffle bit - Cheshire Cat won the class with a 149 - Shortys Last Dancer came second with a 143! This was Cheshires cat first show - this mare is also Lot 151 at the Nutrien Classic 2021! Video below is of Cheshire Cats run! The combination of Shortys Last Dancer and Leah Read have been showing both in the cutting and Campdraft pen - Dancer won their first ever snafflebit at Condamine with a 75 and has now finalled at his first three campdrafts with scores up to 89 - also the winner of Manumbar novice cut out with a 24 yard. Thankyou to the committee for putting on the event - cattle donors - sponsors and all the help here at Rocking P.
