24.01.2022 One of the shots taken by Warren Aitken this week, taken a while to get Ian to park the big ship up long enough to grab some photos but good things come to those who wait.

23.01.2022 Alright we are looking for qualified heavy vehicle auto electricians, sheet metal tradesmans, fabrication/ fitter allrounders, wages are negotiable depending on experience. Share it around, our customers have very high expectations and we aim even higher so we are very selective.

15.01.2022 Today at a special event at Penske Power Systems Brisbane, Luke and Bec from Ozwide Freight took delivery of their brand new 5800 Western Star surrounded by Penske staff, and Shane Keims family and friends. This one is a very special handover, because the keys were handed to Luke by the late Shane Keims wife, Kelly. The Detroit powered Star was built as a tribute truck to the Detroit Diesel Legend, Shane Keim, who lost his battle with mental illness in August. This truck ...will be a nation traveling billboard to raise and maintain awareness of mental illness. RTE is honoured to have been a part of the planning and build up alongside Kurt Dein at Penske. #Beyondblue #youarenotonyourown #canhappentothebestofus #Penske #Ozwide #RTE See more

11.01.2022 Fires had been raging up and down the South Coast for close to a month. People were evacuated from Bawley Point and Tabourie Lake. Milton was hit. Michael did f...ood and supply runs in his boat. We watched as the sky went red and black days before Christmas. More fires broke out on New Years Eve. I watched, my mouth agape, as two angry plumes from the fires north and south of us joined together over Mollymook Beach. And then, the power went out. Mobile reception became spotty. Internet was down. Rumours swirled around town like the ashes that rained down on us. Embers in our backyards. Homes had been lost. Whole streets obliterated. A girlfriends panicked text about her dad being trapped. I packed my go bag and filled the bath with water. Michael cooked bacon and eggs on the barbecue outside. Hakavai and I read books on the balcony. We watched as the fine grey smoke settled in on our beloved Mollymook Beach. At a quarter to eight, the evening was quiet. Not a peaceful and serene quiet, but an eerie quiet. An apocalyptic quiet. No one on their balconies drinking beers. No music blaring from our neighbours next door, or from the houses across the street. No revellers preparing to celebrate the new year. And it was dark. No power. No lights. First of all: Im sorry that I havent been more proactive in this time. Its been a tough few weeks for me emotionally. Ive had to focus on not letting my emotions and own experiences get the better of me. Ive tried to not let the panic genie out of the bottle (because once that genies out, youve got zero chance of squashing it back in). And, Im exhausted. I feel like Ive done 10 marathons. And we cant relax because its only the start of summer, and its not over yet. So just like in a marathon, Ive realised I have to pace myself. A lot of things have been tough. Being 8 months pregnant with a toddler, Ive felt as useful as tits on a bull. Ive had recurring nightmares about running through flames with my son in my arms. Its been difficult to sleep, eat or think and all Ive really wanted to do is tap out, put my head in the sand and pretend that nothing is going on. I thought about leaving our small town of Ulladulla multiple times. Why didnt I? People were stuck in their cars for hours. I saw terrifying footage of 30 metre high flames on the side of the highway at Sussex Inlet (a town just north of us and blocking the way out). And travelling south was like travelling into the jaws of the dragon. When I found out friends were planning on defending their property I felt like shaking them. You have no idea!!! I wanted to scream. You have no idea that a fire sounds like a thousand road trains coming towards you. You have no idea how hot it feels, and that you will watch your skin bubble before your very eyes. You have no idea that the smoke will feel like its invading every single one of your pores. And you have no idea that in those last few seconds where its almost upon you that you will KNOW that you are about to die. At the same time, Ive felt like its not my place to flip out when people all around me have lost everything. Im lucky - my family and I are safe and we havent lost anything. Friends have lost homes, precious belongings. Lives have been lost. And once this is all over, it wont be all over for many of the local businesses in fire-ravaged towns. A lot of these places (like Mollymook, Kangaroo Island, Eden) rely on the tourist dollar for their very survival. Ive been motivated by Tegan Webbers #GoWithEmptyEskies campaign and by the legends at @buyfromthebush. And so this is what Im doing. If you want to buy something (now, or in the future), check out https://www.instagram.com/spendwiththem/. Spend your money with the businesses in fire affected communities who need it. They need you. We need you. This is a way to put money directly in the pockets of the people and communities who need it the most, and need it NOW. Long after the threat is over and the choppers stop flying overhead. Long after summer ends and the wail of sirens ceases in the streets. Help them rebuild. Make them feel heard. Spend with them. And, if youre a business in a fire-affected town, hit us up at https://www.instagram.com/spendwiththem/ to be featured. Much love to all of you, donating, spending, and doing everything you can. Im blown away. Turia xx

11.01.2022 Geoff Richards Transport sure know how to dress up their trucks! BTP Spotted one of their latest T909s to hit the road recently, and all we can say is WOW!! ...Keeping their "variation of a theme" going, its great to see the paint jobs of the newest arrivals are going down the traditional track again, proving less is more (with all the bling in all the right places too), making these real head turners up and down the highways. A real credit to all involved in keeping this rig and the entire fleet immaculate. Definitely a team effort and one worth being proud of Please feel free to share and tag away Keep it safe out there

11.01.2022 Been very FB quiet lately so here’s one Ben and Kacey took delivery of this week.

09.01.2022 Today (12 September 2019) marks R U OK Day across Australia and provides a unique opportunity to collectively shine a light on suicide prevention and the role w...e can all play in preventing suicide. 8 Australians will die from suicide today ... its the biggest single killer of men under the age of 44 ... everyone one of us has a duty to do what we can to reduce those horrific numbers ... By sharing our stories and talking about the ones we have lost perhaps we can prevent it from happening to someone else. simply ask, R U OK? And start the dialogue today.
