20.01.2022 Although the meeting was cancelled, several members came together on Sunday to accomplish the mega-task of netting the mulberry trees. Is it Spider-Man, I hear you ask? No, its Bruce with a super-net! Thanks to Bruce, Ashley, Kurt, Paul, Simon and Victoria. Well done!

19.01.2022 A big thank you to our seven Jamboree Heights State School students, who enjoyed a day in the rain helping maintain our beautiful garden. Thanks to Tam and Mrs Ivory-Lisle, and the Rotary Club, these enthusiastic, budding gardeners were able to achieve a great days work that was also lots of fun!

08.01.2022 When I was little, we had a mulberry tree that covered the entire back yard next door. The lovely lady didn’t have kids of her own, so all of the neighbourhood kids would be invited in to feast on mulberries until our clothes, hands, and faces looked like they were bruised - stained for days with delicious purple juices running into every crevice! We climbed to the highest branches to ensure not a single fruit was wasted, clambering up and up, with no anxious parents in sight. Ahhhh. The good old days when life was much simpler and kids were allowed to take reasonable risks.

07.01.2022 Gardening by the stars, anyone?

06.01.2022 We occasionally have visitors who find it difficult locating the garden within Rocks Riverside Park. Keep to the cliff side of the garden, not the river side, and keep walking along the road beneath the cliff face. For the visual amongst us, this is where we are...

03.01.2022 At Saturday’s meeting Paul asked if anyone knew the reason why some zucchinis grow squat instead of long and slim. Google told us that uneven pollination causes them to grow in unusual shapes. Fascinating! Here are some members of Paul’s super-sized crop!

02.01.2022 Must be time for more art in the garden? 2021?

01.01.2022 I think the copper tape is a great tip!
