15.01.2022 Position Vacant Apprentice Greenkeeper South West Rocks Country Club is currently seeking a highly motivated person to commence a Greenkeeping Apprenticeship. This position presents an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to develop first rate skills and establish their career in the horticulture industry. Duties of this position would include, but are not limited to: Maintaining the grassed areas and playing surfaces (mowing, weeding, spraying)... General presentation (picking up sticks, rubbish and keeping the area tidy) Maintaining gardens and surrounds The successful applicant should possess the following: Demonstrate a keen interest and desire for a career in this area Be motivated and have an enthusiastic attitude Strong work ethic Be willing to work in variable weather conditions Have neat and tidy presentation and good communication skills Interest in golf, bowls and outdoor work An ongoing commitment to the successful completion of an apprenticeship A driver’s license is desirable This position is a full time role (38hrs per week) and would suit a recent school leaver, with a minimum of Year 10 completion. You will complete a four-year apprenticeship and a nationally recognised qualification (Certificate III in Sports Turf Management) while receiving comprehensive on the job training. If you are physically active, enjoy outdoor work, have a passion for golf and bowls and are looking for the opportunity to gain a position within a growing organisation please forward you’re application via email to [email protected] by close of business Friday the 23rd October 2020.

Please note that we are no longer taking bookings for the main lounge or at Seasons at South West Rocks Country Club. Members and Visitors are still welcome to the club for all purposes, although you must be seated at all times.... Social Alley Tenpin is fully booked out, although we welcome you for the diner for food and drinks. Classic Rock Band Gunshy will start at 8.30pm in the main lounge (FREE event). Please note there is strictly no dancing allowed. If you are joining us tonight, we hope you have a great time and a Happy New Year!
