25.01.2022 I was touched by the comment of a patient that expressed how nice he feels when he sees our smiles. It reminded me of the magic effect of smiling. It can brighten someones heart & at the same time it has proven that smiling boosts your immune system because your whole body relaxes when you smile. When youre in a bad mood, smile even if you dont feel like it because it will immediately improve your mood. Smiles are contagious. ... Its physically easier to smile than it is to frown because smiling uses less muscles.Let us be generous in spreading our smiles. Happy smiling Day to all.

23.01.2022 Get in early and book your free mammogram ladies. BreastScreen NSW mobile van will be in South West Rocks from the 4th January until the 27th January, call 132050 to secure your spot. Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women in NSW during their lifetime, early detection is the key to lowering that statistic.

16.01.2022 Non Attendance Policy: Please note that a Non-Attendance fee will be payable if a patient does not attend to their appointment or if the appointment is not cancelled 24 hours before the appointment or at least 3 hours before the appointment. We have had many patients recently missing their appointments without giving a reasonable excuse, disadvantaging other patients who need medical care and wasting the doctors time. Non-Attendance Fee: $35.00 ($25.00 Concession).... SMS reminders are sent to remind patients, if you can not attend please call & arrange to cancel or re-schedule your appointment. We appreciate your co-operation.

16.01.2022 Notice: Our practice is still waiting for the delivery of 2020 influenza vaccination. We are expecting the delivery will be soon as per an email received from NSW health. Our FB page will update our patients once the vaccines are available, a poster will be on the practice entrance and we will notify eligible patients once the funded vaccines are available. Please read details below.... 2020 influenza vaccination program deliveries The NSW State Vaccine Centre has received an influx of calls regarding flu vaccine deliveries. We understand immunisation providers are anxious to receive their vaccine delivery due to concerns about COVID-19 and influenza co-infections. Distribution of 2020 influenza vaccines commenced on the 30 March 2020. It can take around 3 weeks for all pre-orders to be delivered. We are committed to ensuring equitable access to vaccines and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to deliver vaccines across NSW. The vaccines will be available in all general practices across NSW in the coming weeks. This will ensure patients are protected against influenza during peak influenza season typically June to September in most parts of Australia. It is important to remember that while protection is generally expected to last for the whole season, optimal protection against influenza occurs within the first 3 to 4 months following vaccination.

05.01.2022 Update: COVID-19 is challenging the capacity of our Nation to respond to serious illness in a never before seen way. Despite resounding pressure and uncertainty, the medical profession is responding with resilience - a resilience that will be tested time and time again, and no doubt will be needed for some time yet. Accordingly, the AMA have called on governments to adopt deeper social isolation measures than currently in place. Only those people essential to defeating COVID-...19 should now be at work. Those in non-essential work should isolate at home, as should tertiary students. For the safety of our patients we are following measures recommended by the DOH, RACGP & NCPH. Tele-health / phone consultation is recommended for patients to minimize the number of patients attending and waiting in medical centres unless physical examination is required Routine skin checks will be postponed until further notice. Patients with history of melanoma will be booked for a skin check and patients concerned about Suspicious spots will be booked for a quick check. We have reduced the number of chairs in the waiting room, keeping distances between chairs. Patients are encouraged to wait outside the premises if the doctors are running late. Patients are urged to constantly rub their hands with hand sanitizers and if any flu like symptoms isolate yourself at home until you feel better. No treatment for any virus! If symptoms worsen, call our team before attending to the practice for advise. Important advice from our Team: * Keep safe, stay at home. * Social distancing * Self isolation if flu Symptoms show * Follow the advice from reliable resources. * keep updated, follow the link: https://www.health.gov.au//what-you-need-to-know-about-cor
