16.01.2022 UPDATE: Message from our committee: Dear Members, We hope you are all remaining healthy, isolating when necessary and finding things to entertain yourselves, over the past few months, which has been a very challenging time for us all.... The Walter Reid Cultural Centre closed on 23rd March and re-opened on 13th June with conditions in place. The Auditorium, is only allowed 66 people with the 4 metre distancing in place. All the tables and chairs from the foyer have been temporally locked away from public use. (During the closure, Council workers have been doing a big tidy up at the centre and are getting rid of old furniture ect.) President, Tom Ferris and myself have had a conversation about re-starting the monthly films and have decided, that under the present restrictions, with hygiene, distancing and the cost to hire the Auditorium/Canteen, it would not be in our best interests, to re-commence the films. The Manhattan Film Festival is still booked for 26th September, so hopefully that may still happen. We will continue to monitor the restrictions and keep you all informed. Stay safe , Merle Cole/Tom Ferris Rocky Flix
