23.01.2022 Regrettably with the fire activity still current and the forecast for Friday and Saturday being less than favorable Cooma Sporting Clays has made the decision t...o postpone the novelty shoot "To thank the local fire crews" by one week to Saturday the 8th February. Hopeful conditions will have improved by then. As per the original invitation (below) we would like to make the day for the local RFS Crews, Fire Rescue NSW, and other agencies involved in the recent fires an enjoyable one at the club. Thanks to the local fire crews Having had a discussion with some of the club members at Cooma Sporting Clays over the weekend, the club would like to invite the members of the local RFS, Fire Rescue NSW and anybody else involved in the monumental effort put in over the last month, to have a day off at the club on the Saturday 1st of February. We are putting on a novelty shoot, shooting licence not required, nor your wallet / purse. The club will cover all costs throw a few targets. BBQ lunch. We have club firearms and the day will be fully supervised and safely run by club members. Hopefully we can get the message out and get as many as we can to the club. Directions on our website or call Adam 0410 507 279 or Andrew 0413 013 689

15.01.2022 A MASSIVE SHOUT OUT AND HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE BEHIND THE SCENES OF THESE FIRES. The ones that run the office making sure all the crews are accounted for an...d safe and making sure they are in the right areas in the bush . All the relaying back and forth on the radios and phones. This responsibility is massive because everyone relies on you for direction and communication. All the constant communication between all fire sheds in each areas. You all have such pressure on you and you all handle it with such professionalism. THANK YOU The ones that hang around the fire shed waiting for their turn to head off to the fires , they can sit there all day sometimes and never complain once about the waiting time. We just admire their commitment. THANK YOU The ones that help organise the next destination and all the mapping. This is a massive responsibility of knowing where to send the next crews to fight fires or put in more containment lines . THANK YOU The ones in the kitchen that organise all the food packages that are sent out with the crews . All the sandwiches that are made throughout the day . All the cakes that are made and brought in by wonderful people. All the constant planning of groceries and shopping, the back and forth to the stores and Feeding everyone and anyone that maybe at the shed that day . THANK YOU The ones that look after the vehicles either with repairs or equipment. These fire trucks are very important to be running smoothly and stocked with all the necessary equipment. THANK YOU THANK YOU for all who have helped in anyway . This couldn’t be run without you ...
