I have asked the members to share one or two of their photos from these. To start off, here is my favourite from the Botanic Gardens. If you are interested in improving your photography, please message us and we will let you know more about the Photo Club, about our upcoming activities, and about our upcoming Photography Course for Beginners.

08.01.2022 Thanks Kieran Powell for our new banner image....it's time for another Mobile phone competition. We'll kick the competition off...now! Rules are below and will stay open until late April. The Page admins reserve the right to alter or amend the rules at any time. The subject matter this time is "flora".... feel free to upload a short video clip if you wish, but it obviously can't be the banner image if it wins....just a word of advice, the image needs to be in landscape orient...ation to fit comfortably on the banner! Have a look at this month's club competition winners if you would like some inspiration!! Entry must be submitted as a reply to this post and winner will be determined by number of Likes. People can Like their own post, and can like as many entries as they want. This is a Mobile Phone competition. Entries must have been taken on your Mobile Phone, edited (optional) on your Mobile Phone, and submitted on your Mobile Phone. This will be an honour system. For education purposes, please include the following information when submitting your photo - phone make and model the image was taken on, what software (if any) was used to edit it. The winning photo will be displayed as the Facebook Page's cover photo. With this in mind, think about the composition of your entry and the dimensions of Facebook's cover photo (e.g. an image in portrait orientation won't display well). Do some research on what Facebook recommend for cover photo dimensions. Examples of Mobile Phone editing software are Adobe Lightroom CC, Snapseed, Affinity, Google Photos, iOS Photos, VSCO, Photoshop Express. There are others so Google it and choose something that works for you. In the event of a draw, the winner will be chosen at random by one of the page admins, and the winner will be expected to forgo the following competition to allow a new person to have their image displayed as the banner. The photo does not need to be taken in the same week as the competition (I.e. it can be an old photo, so long as it abides by the other rules listed above). Page admins reserve the right to remove any photos that are deemed to be inappropriate. Above all, have fun!
