25.01.2022 Crs Cardew, Haydon, Bilney and I recently visited the works on Blencoe Creek crossing to the south of Mt Garnet. This is a significant TRC project that will make a big difference for traffic on this important route down to the coast. Well done to all those working on this job.

24.01.2022 The TWW Yungaburra Triathlon has rebooted in the most spectacular way. I congratulate the dedicated organising Committee that maintained its resolve, the many brilliant and generous community volunteers and the Council staff who went beyond their duty to make it happen. Of course, the athletes and all those that contribute to the event and its vibe have been first class- we appreciate the sweat, smiles and loyalty. Great comeback, great event!!

22.01.2022 Wishing a safe and festive Merry Xmas to everyone

10.01.2022 It was a pleasure to once again open the Yungaburra Village Artists exhibition last night at the Tableands Regional Gallery. Thirteen of 16 artists from the 4884 post code showcased their talent, diversity and dedication. And whenever they exhibit, they never disappoint. Congratulations to the YVA and thanks to Jeff Hall for joining me in this photo in front of one of his captivating works.

08.01.2022 Many thanks to Atherton State High School for supporting this very worthy cause!

07.01.2022 I was very pleased to be part of the recognition of the Pang and Fong On families at Atherton Chinatown on the weekend. Appreciation is due to Chris Pang Way as the key driver and Gordon Grimwade for his dedication, professionalism and ongoing contribution to this region’s rich history. A great day with many family descendants telling stories about the life and the people.

05.01.2022 Work on local road upgrades is well underway. Eastern Connection allocation is done and Powley is in progress now. Council is delivering these upgrades internally and is doing a good job. Well done to the team.

05.01.2022 A long time coming, but the very best news.

02.01.2022 I was very pleased to be part of the opening of Atherton's new Community/Mental Health Building today with the Speaker of the Queensland Parliament Mr Curtis Pitt MP. A great asset for our community and the hospital to come next. Well done to all involved.
