23.01.2022 THE ONLY GREAT RESET AUSTRALIA SHOULD BE MAKING IS WITH CHINA China claims 'quality' problem with Australian coal as $700 million worth sits idle off ports For months, dozens of bulk carriers have been stranded off the coast of two major Chinese ports unable to unload their cargoes, with a Bloomberg estimate of more than 60 ships now in limbo in November.... Chinese authorities have not previously explained the exact reasons for the long delays, which have coincided with a series of restrictions and bans Beijing has imposed on other Australian exports amid diplomatic tensions. But in answer to a question on Tuesday, China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian has for the first time suggested quality problems are to blame. China has unofficially banned Australian coal imports since October amid souring relations between the two countries, and in turn, increased imports from Mongolia and Russia. Mr Zhao said China had strengthened the examination and testing of imported coal regarding safety, quality and environmental standards "so as to better protect the legitimate interests and the environmental interests of the Chinese side". Coal is one of seven Australian imported products that have reportedly been targeted with bans by China amid rising tensions. Biologically male prisoners who identify as transgender can apply to be placed in female prisons and vice versa under a new Department of Justice policy that came into effect this week. Under the new regime, which applies to remand and sentenced inmates, any prisoner entering the system that self identifies as trans or gender diverse can ask to be housed in a facility of their chosen gender.... The management of prisoners who are trans, non-binary or intersex in a custodial setting must seek to protect both the welfare and rights of the prisoner and the welfare and rights of others (for example staff, other prisoners), the policy says. Guards are directed to ask prisoners for their preferred name and pronoun he, she or they and must address them as indicated. The reception officer shall also inform prisoners that it is possible to alter pronouns at a later date, the policy says. While applications to be placed in an all-female or all-male prison are being processed, trans and gender diverse inmates must be offered a single cell and the ability to access a separate shower and toilet facility. The policy also dictates inmates be provided clothing, underwear and personal effects including cosmetics appropriate for their self-identified gender. A new trial of the Oxford vaccine has been ordered after US scientists raised concerns about its effectiveness in older people. Scientists claimed the highest 90 per cent success rate of the vaccine was only tested on people aged under 55, raising fears it may not work well on older people. US vaccine czar Moncef Slaoui told reporters on Wednesday they were reviewing the vaccine data as the strength of the findings could be affected, given that young people typically produce stronger immune responses to vaccines. Other aspects of the data from the trials have also sparked concern among scientists, with the drugmaker at the time failing to explain why they used two different dosing regiments and why the size of the study group was significantly smaller than the other. In one group, 2741 participants received a half-dose of the vaccine and then a full dose at least a month later. This group was 90 per cent protected against COVID-19. In the second group, 8895 participants received a full dose followed by another full dose at least a month later. This group was only 62 per cent protected. The vaccine is therefore said to be on average 70 per cent effective. Just goes to show, pharmaceutical companies can make things look the way they want them to. I also want to make it clear, I am not an anti vaxxer, I just believe that people should have freedom of choice to decide what gets pumped into their body. Upper House Liberal MP Nick Goiran likened the Premier to Supreme Chancellor Palpatine for his hunger and thirst for extraordinary powers during the pandemic.... Members who are familiar with the Star Wars series will know that that individual loved and was obsessed with extraordinary powers. It seems to me that Premier Mark McGowan’s hunger and thirst for these extraordinary powers has no end, and that concerns me, Mr Goiran told Parliament on Tuesday night. Thank goodness there is a Legislative Council. Can members imagine if we were in Queensland and Hon Mark McGowan, the member for Rockingham, had no Legislative Council to restrain his hunger and thirst to be every day more and more like Henry VIII and more and more like Supreme Chancellor Palpatine? Can members imagine that? Thank goodness we have the Legislative Council in Western Australia. This is why It’s super important we get as many One Nation members elected as we can. So we can keep the government in check and not allow them to abuse the power the people bestow on them.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison and his Trade Minister Simon Birmingham will sign the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership on Sunday, an agreement that covers around 30 per cent of the world's population.... Australia, Japan, China, South Korea, New Zealand and the 10 members of ASEAN will be part of the deal. Senator Birmingham is disappointed that India is not part of the final agreement, but says it still provides a huge platform for Australia to deliver more exports, creating more jobs. If they manage to flip 15 seats that could be enough to support an argument that the presidential results are inconsistent with obvious voting intentions. On top of this there are reports that in Georgia, ballots where the voter only voted for President are Trump: 818 and Biden: 95,801. Looks pretty unbelievable to me. What are your thoughts on this?

More than 30 frozen fish products will no longer be labelled Made in Australia after the consumer watchdog found the imported seafood was not substantially transformed from its overseas form before being packaged and sold. Simplot Australia has amended the country of origin labelling on 31 products sold as Birds Eye, I&J, Neptune and one homebred product from Made in Australia to Packed in Australia. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission carried out compliance checks on a range of frozen foods imported from New Zealand, South Africa and the US. And its reliance on an obscure clause of the Financial Management Act known as Section 82 has created a mountain of work for the Office of ...the Auditor General, costing taxpayers more than $1.2 million and tying up officers for nearly 5800 man hours since mid-2017. Nearly 25 per cent of all Section 82 referrals under the McGowan Government the Auditor General found blocking access to the requested information was unreasonable. This McGowan government are only representatives of the people so they should not be hiding information from the public. 04.01.2022 CHINA CONTINUES ITS MARCH ON AUSTRALIA ANNOUNCING MASSIVE NEW TARRIFS ON AUSTRALIAN WINE China has imposed massive tariffs on Australian wine in an anti-dumping measure that will have a dramatic impact on the industry. China's Ministry of Commerce announced the duties will range from 107.1 per cent to 212.1 per cent, effectively doubling to tripling the cost of Australian wine.... "There is a causal relationship between (wine) dumping and material damage," the ministry said in a statement Agriculture Minister David Littleproud said Australia would be "vigorously fighting against" the "seriously concerning development". "The Australian Government categorically rejects any allegation that our wine producers are dumping product into China, and we continue to believe there is no basis or any evidence for these claims," he said.
