09.01.2022 Marble Hill was the Vice-Regal summer residence for the Governor of South Australia for seventy-five years, from 1880 to 1955. It's been 65 years since Marble Hill was destroyed by the devastating Black Sunday bushfire of 1955. Records state the original built in 1879 to 1880 utilised 30 stonemasons.
