PLEASE READ this IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT from Horsham Rural City Council: Coun...cil sees the Horsham Regional Livestock Exchange as a critical service to continue during the COVID-19 emergency, to help ensure food security. To ensure that sales can continue, Council needs to limit the attendance by non-essential people at the site. Access during the sale WILL BE RESTRICTED TO Agents, Buyers, Transport Operators, Council and their staff. THE GENERAL PUBLIC WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND, even if they are sellers at the sale. We are conscious that many regular attendees are in an age bracket that is potentially more vulnerable to the virus, and are taking this measure as a means of ensuring continuity of the sales. Keep a look out for it as we will be highlighting our plans for this years sale. 2020 Sale Update - At this st...age 220 rams will be offered via physical auction, interfaced with Elite Livestock Auctions. The sale will consist of 10 Stud Poll Dorsets, 40 White Suffolks and 170 Poll Dorset flock rams. The physical on-property auction will adhere to all of the relevant distancing & Covid19 requirements at the time. All rams will be live-streamed on the day on the Elite Livestock Auctions platform, allowing for the preferred pick of the pen option. SA clients - Although SA border restrictions are currently in place, we are planning to hold a brief inspection session in SA, at a location and date to be advised. This will hopefully allow our SA clients an opportunity to physically inspect a selection of stud and flock rams. VIC clients - A similar pre sale inspection session will be held on property at Goroke for our Victorian clients. Date to be advised.
