EJ Hennessey & EE Hateley topped our market with $187 Suckers 24kg plus made $166 - $184 to be firm 20-24kg made $147 - $164 which is firm on last week 16-20kg ranged from $123 - $146 making them $2 - $4 up All lambs ranged from $6.60 - $7.50 per kg XB Sheep 26kg plus made $209 - $220 to be firm Mer Sheep 26kg plus made $165 - $222 which is $2 - $4 up on last week Trade sheep 20-26kg ranged from $113 - $158 making them $5 - $8 down Light sheep to 20kg ranged from $37 - $110 making them $10 - $15 down Sheep made $5.60 - $6.20 per kg EJ Hennessey & EE Hateley topped our lamb sale with $187; estimated at 25kgs. Our lamb sale was firm on heavy and trade lambs. Light lambs were $2 to $4 dearer. The sheep job was still very good if you had weight. Once we got on to our light lambs it softened dramatically being $10 to $15 cheaper. Rodwells are 3rd sale next week.

Fresh trade lambs made around $7.60 per kg, while dryer lambs ranged from $6.80 to $7.20. Trade lambs were $2 to $5 dearer. Store lambs were $8 to $10 dearer. AG & LE Brook topped our market with $270 Suckers 30kg plus made $230 - $270 to be $8 - $10 down 24-30kg made $182 - $232 which is firm on last week 18-24kg ranged from $160 - $200 making them $6 - $8 up All lambs ranged from $7.40 - $9.20 per kg XB Sheep 26kg plus made $179 - $190 to be $12 - $15 down Mer Sheep 26kg plus made $163 - $180 which is $12 - $15 down on last week Trade sheep 20-26kg ranged from $125 - $160 making them firm Light sheep to 20kg ranged from $102 - $125 making them firm Sheep made $5.80 - $6.40 per kg AG & LE Brook topped todays sale at $270; estimated at 38kgs, making about $7.00 per kg which was $8 to $10 cheaper than last week, ranging between $7.00 to $7.50 per kg. Heavy trade lambs were firm, ranging from $7.60 to $8.00 per kg. Trade lambs were $6 to $8 dearer, making them from $8.80-$9.10 per kg, with some of the neatest lambs making $9.30. The mutton sale was $12 to $15 cheaper, mainly on the heavy end, following the weekly trend with a few processors absent. Rodwells are 3rd sale next week.

RJ & DA Dumesny along with PW & MA Smith topped our market with $228 Lambs 30kg plus made $195 - $228 to be $15 - $25 down 24-30kg made $176 - $190 which is $10 - $20 down on last week 18-24kg ranged from $134 - $185 making them $10 - $15 down All lambs ranged from $6.50 - $7.70 per kg XB Sheep 26kg plus made $150 - $192 to be $20 - $30 down Mer Sheep 26kg plus made $140 - $166 which is $10 - $20 down on last week Trade sheep 20-26kg ranged from $120 - $138 making them $10 - $20 down Light sheep to 20kg ranged from $70 - $120 making them $10 - $15 down Sheep made $5.50 - $6.00 per kg RJ & DA Dumesny and PW & MA Smith topped todays sale at $228; estimated at 33kgs. Heavy lambs above 30kg were $15 to $25 cheaper. Trade lambs were $10 to $20 cheaper, while light lambs were $10 to $15 down. Heavy crossbred sheep were $20 to $30 cheaper with heavy merino sheep being $10 to $20 cheaper. Trade and light sheep were generally $10 to $15 cheaper. Rodwells are 1st sale next week.

WC & JM McDonald topped our market with $166 Suckers 30kg plus made $144 - $166 to be $10 - $15 down 24-30kg made $128 - $140 which is $10 - $15 down on last week 18-24kg ranged from $67 - $126 making them $8 - $10 down All lambs ranged from $5.00 - $6.00 per kg XB Sheep 26kg plus made $125 - $143 to be $5 - $10 down Mer Sheep 26kg plus made $120 - $145 which is $5 - $8 down on last week Trade sheep 20-26kg ranged from $78 - $113 making them $8 - $10 down Sheep made $4.80 - $5.30 per kg Today we saw a very dull market due to obvious reasons with limited buyer support. We saw a $10 to $15 cheaper market with the odd pen of shorn lambs making up to $166. Sheep prices today were okay considering the circumstances with good merino ewes making up to $145 with a good skin. Rodwells are 3rd sale next week.

Pyrenel North topped our market with $241 Lambs 24kg plus made $198 - $241 to be $8 - $12 up 20-24kg made $159 - $173 which is $5 - $8 up on last week 16-20kg ranged from $89 - $148 making them firm All lambs ranged from $7.20 - $8.00 per kg Pyrenel North topped our sale with a beautiful pen of shorn lambs making $241; estimated at 31kgs. Our sale was very strong to finish off the year with heavy and trade lambs $5 to $12 dearer. Store lambs were in hot demand making $100 to $159. Heavy suckers were $6 to $8 cheaper, ranging between $6.50 to $6.70. Trade lambs were $4 to $6 cheaper, ranging between $7.10 to $7.50. Light trade and store lambs were $5 to $6 dearer. Generally, any fresh lambs sold well, while lambs showing dryness were discounted. The sheep sale was firm on last week making from $6.20 to $7.20 per kg. Rodwells are 2nd sale next week.

Suckers 30kg plus made $155 - $176 to be $20 - $25 down 24-30kg made $118 - $147 which is $10 - $15 down on last week 18-24kg ranged from $76 - $109 making them $5 - $6 down All lambs ranged from $5.00 - $6.50 per kg Lambs above 30kg were $20 to $25 cheaper; trade lambs 24 to 30kg were $10 to $15 cheaper, while light crossbred lambs under 24kg were $5 to $6 cheaper. A line of merino lambs, February shorn in forward condition reached a top of $119, being $6 to $8 dearer. Crossbred lambs generally made between $5.00 to $6.50 per kg. Rodwells yarded insufficient numbers of mutton to quote but the general price throughout the yarding had good merino ewes ranging between $5.20 to $5.50 per kg. Rodwells are 1st sale next week.
