25.01.2022 WRAG staff would like to thank our Directors who came to yesterday's meeting. We had a quorum, and the meeting went without a hitch. Lots was decided, the most important being that Acting Manager Linda Daniel Rowlands has now been promoted to the Manager of the art group. The Directors are impressed by the work she has been doing, and her vision for the future of the art group. Her team, Danielle and myself would like to congratulate her officially for her promotion. It was also the first board meeting held in our board room, sadly the comfy chairs we ordered for the board room haven't arrived yet, but by the time the next meeting comes about, they should be here.

25.01.2022 Attention Directors: There is a WRAG Directors meeting on Monday 8th of Feb (next Monday) at 10am at the WRAG Boardroom Ngurin Cultural Centre. We hope you can all make it, as this is the first one for this year. The Wangaba Girls on behalf of Vice Chair Josephine Samson

24.01.2022 The Wangaba girls will be up at the old Roebourne Gaol today for the makers market, so why not drop by, say Wayiba, get some early Christmas shopping happening, and nab a sausage sizzle. Times are from 8am until 12pm, but if people are still around, we will still be around too. Hope to see you there.

23.01.2022 Out and About with the Wangaba Girls. 01-07-2020 Elders Birthday at the Old Reserve in Roebourne... For those not living here, and don't know the story, a fair few of the Roebourne and surrounds elders celebrate their birthday on the 1st of July each year, because the government lost their birth certificates (a fire I think). Today the Wangaba girls attended the celebrations, and ended up finding a lot of emerging artists. We are gonna have to sign these kids up with us. Enjoy the photos taken by our Photographer, Christina.

23.01.2022 The Wangaba Girls will be out and about today attending a paint pouring workshop. We hope to introduce this new style to our artists in the coming months, once the gallery is set up and complete. If you are attending this workshop this morning, then we will see you there.

Saturday from 10am until 2pm at our former home, the Old Roebourne Gaol, and Sunday from 10am until 2pm at Cossack. We hope to see you there, and bring lots of money, as we will have lots of pieces up for sale. ON Saturday there will be a sausage sizzle and coffee machine, and of course Sunday at Cossack means a fantastic breakfast buffet. Come say hello to the Wangaba Girls.

19.01.2022 We would like to announce that our new website is now live. https://www.roebourneart.com.au/ Please understand there is only a few items in the shop and only a few pages, as the background work continues, but we wanted for the website to become live as soon as possible.

17.01.2022 The art group will be closed from Wednesday 24th Feb until Tuesday 2nd Mar when we reopen. The Wangaba Girls won't be contactable at this time, as all three will be out of town on personal business.

10.01.2022 Getting to know the Wangaba Girls. Acting Manager Linda Daniel Rowlands For those who don’t know Linda was actually born at the old Roebourne Hospital, but sadly is part of the Stolen Generation, having been taken from her mother, the late Doreen Daniel for no reason. ... Linda is glad to be living back on Country and is working hard to see that WRAG becomes the success story our little art group deserves and has strived for. Linda has brought with her a wealth of knowledge and experience having attended University in Victoria, and worked in various fields during her career, although this is her first job in the field of arts, she is determined to do her best. Operations Manager Christina Goodman Christina was born in Subiaco but raised in Victoria and has experience with office administration, photography, IT, research, and a host of other little hidden talents which help in the day to day running of the office. Christina is currently rebuilding the WRAG website from scratch, and after a few delays and setbacks, hopes to have the new website up and running very shortly. The new website will include an online store so our fans who are wanting to purchase art yet are not local will be able to do so. And just like Linda, Christina is doing her best to see the art group succeed and grow. Community Liaison Officer Danielle Geary We are sure many of you know Danielle but for those who don’t, Danielle is married to artist Cliff Samson and has recently begun to dabble with a brush on canvas herself. We are going to love to see the direction Danielle’s art is going to take her. Danielle has the unique ability to make the team laugh, so you will always hear the joy of laughter coming from the office. Happy work environment makes for a productive workplace, and it is true. Danielle is going back to school to learn office administration. She is also an extremely hard worker getting the paints mixed, canvas cut, as well as helping the rest of the team with anything they simply don’t have time to do, a true asset is our Danielle. So you see us around, say hi, or pop by and see us, have a yarn and get to know the girls who truly want the best for the art group.

06.01.2022 Wangaba Roebourne Art Group would like to take a moment to thank the anonymous community member who has nominated us for the 2020 Western Australian Regional Achievement and Community Awards. We are being entered into the Woolworths Community Group of the Year Award. Just being nominated for the first time in WRAG's history is a milestone. The Wangaba girls and Josie Samson the Vice Chair are all lost for words. Thank you We are touched beyond measure by this.... UPDATE: We have been nominated for four different awards. so a really HUGE thank you to the person who has nominated us. Big hugs to you from the Wangaba Girls. Thank you to everyone for the likes, loves, and comments.

06.01.2022 The girls worked very hard last week in order to get the gallery open for a special even that was taking place on Saturday night for the police legacy. Here are a few shots taken today. Of course the girls were disappointed that the new furniture and fitting for the gallery are yet to arrive, so it isn't set up how they want it just yet, but it is a start. As Operations Manager I just want to thank acting Manager Linda Daniel Rowlands, and Community Liaison Officer Danielle Geary for all their hard work and dedication in pulling this all together with such short notice. Well done ladies, you guys make me so proud to be part of this team.

01.01.2022 Don't forget Val and Kathy's crafty kitchen is on today, and all are welcome.

01.01.2022 Linda and Christina as well as the WRAG Board of Directors wish to take a moment to congratulate Wangaba Girl Danielle on achieving the ultimate today by getting her drivers license. Well done kiddo, you are on the roads now.

01.01.2022 Don't forget the Wangaba Girls are hosting Val and Kathy's Crafty Kitchen tomorrow... 10am until 12pm. Home made pumpkin soup will be served as a light lunch/snack, so come along, have a feed and create some crafty fun! See you there!!!
