23.01.2022 When I work carving marble and granite I use a wet dust collector. I also wear a dust mask and ear muffs. OH&S is a top priority. My dust collector has done good service for many years. But now is undergoing a major overhaul. If all goes to plan I will be be operational by the end of the week. The boys from Whizz Engineering from Weston near Kurri Kurri are doing a great job. I have been going through withdrawal symptoms while not being able to work so should hit the ground running.

01.01.2022 Block splitting. Drill a series of holes with the core drill. Remove the core. Use the three part plugs and feathers. The wedge drives the feathers apart and splits the block.
