21.01.2022 Five go down to Highgate Hill. Thanks to Adam and Rejoice for asking for some artworks to help launch their brilliant new project Dovetail Social on Laura St. And thanks to Kati too for her picture hanging skills. Such a mad week with so much going on.
19.01.2022 SOLD - ‘ Cloudburst ‘ - 1000mm x 750mm - Oil on Canvas. Bold colours and broad strokes. Sold to a Brisbane collector and I couldn’t be happier. A palette for those with a broader range, I loved the speed of movement in the wet paint. It was always a painting of the moment. No time to let paint dry, much like the hastening rain.
16.01.2022 SOLD - $1100 - ‘ Gloaming ‘ - 400mm x 500mm. This personal favourite, painted in the style, layering, ragging off and glazing perfected my one of my icons, JMW Turner, has now sold to a Brisbane collector. I thought it would go sooner, because of the techniques involved, but it is no doubt, a bow to a bygone era. Very happy that’s it’s been appreciated though.
