06.01.2022 Thank you to Katrine Hildyard MP and the City of Onkaparinga for their support in this very exciting project! We are pleased to see the Morton Road Sports and Community Hub progressing! Sport can and does play such an important role in engaging young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and this project will provide the Christie Downs community with a state-of-the-art sports and recreation facility.... This outstanding project will be delivered by the Roger Rasheed Sports Foundation, providing free coaching and mentorships to young people in Christie Downs. The redevelopment includes an oval, basketball half-court, skate park, tennis/netball courts, adventure play, barbecue facilities and new toilets. With construction of the $3.1 million project expected to start in early 2021, it's now time have your say on how you want it to look.
