18.01.2022 We're home... the lost sleep is getting caught up with, the dust has settled and all the washing is out to dry. Sydney Royal.... what a show!! The little black ...pony and I had a lovely trip to Sydney and back - Bliss totally lived up to her "Miss Consistency" title, stepping out of the ring with a bow in every single class, we came home with the full set... 1st led Riding Pony filly 3yrs 12.2hh and under 2nd led Australian Saddle Pony filly 3yrs & under 3rd led Part Welsh 3yr old filly. 4th led Arabian Derivative mare or filly 13hh and under. To say I adore this pony is an understatement. She does everything with such ease and good grace, Grand Parades, fireworks, the lot - it's easy to forget she's still just a 3yo filly. I was just as proud leading her out around the showgrounds to the exercise arena as I was watching her looking every bit the part out on the big arena. Huge thanks to Stewie and Kym and all the Suburban Lodge Show & Training Stables family for all your support... what a team to be part of! Thanks also to Narelle Leah and Emma Donnelly for taking the lead in some of her classes, to "Auntie" Margie Whyte for all your help, for all the giggles, and for allowing me to stay in style with you... and thanks to you Casey and Imi, for the company homeward bound. Thanks also to Liz from BC Browbands for Bliss's beautiful new browband, it looked gorgeous on her! So that's show season done and dusted... until next time. Rest up while you can little black pony... there may be saddle classes on the agenda for next season.

09.01.2022 What a full on fun weekend! Saturday, a big busy day at Barastoc 2.0 - the sequel, and Sunday, a lovely leisurely picnic in the park with ponies at Gippsland & Peninsula RPG Welsh Youngstock show. Huge thank you to Stewie Robinson and all at Suburban Lodge Show & Training Stables; we always have such fun on your team. ... Huge thanks and kudos to all the show organisers for persevering and adapting and continuing onwards, under what must have been a hugely stressful week, and heartfelt thanks to the event sponsors, judges, helpers and crew, your efforts are very much appreciated. Special mention to Rodney Hewat for suiting up and taking the lead on Sunday... top job Rocket! It's great to see you out there having fun with our ponies again. Julie
