21.01.2022 Could be a bit of weather for State champs this weekend peeps! Dress accordingly! Thieved from: trollcyclist.

16.01.2022 Evening race fans, Tuesday’s suck. Too far to still be basking in glory from the weekends races, too far to be thinking about the next weekends races. We can help! A rider profile to distract you from watching the home shopping channel, buying a blanket with a hood to cry in, eating a slab of iced vovo’s and contemplating your journey to this point in your life. Just me? Whatever. Tonight we bring you the quiet achiever. Off the bike, he’s quietly spoken and humble. On the bi...ke he’s loud and chaotic. He’s aggressive and loves a sprint or ten. He animates the bunch because they know if they let him get away, he will stay away. Put your hands together Ladies and Gentleman for Mr Jarrod Currie Name: Jarrod Currie Occupation: Electrical Reliability Engineer Club: South Coast Cycling/Southern Vales Cycling Club Years racing: 9 years this time round Proudest achievement: That time when I finished in the top 26 in the Melbourne to Warrnambool (26th) Proudest non racing achievement: I know this one.... It’s kids, isn’t it? Favorite race type: Crits, TTs, long road races Favorite race: Wallaroo- Hell of the North (neither a crit, TT or long road race) Favourite bike: Usually the one I just sold to get my new one. Cervelo S5 is pretty sweet though One thing people don’t know about you: Nup. Nothing. Next. Favorite competitor: Whoever is in the break with us and pulling their fair share. Toughest competitor: Mat Franks told me on the weekend that he can deadlift 180kgs. Correct sock height: UCI rule 1.3.033 Longest ride: 298km Hardest climb: the little pinch into my cul-de-sac after a hard ride. Hardest ride ever: Bupa 2005. Longest ride I ever did before finding out that you’re not meant to wear jocks under your knicks. Makes so much sense now. Ride you most want to do: Roubaix Bupa or Flanders Bupa Climb you most want to do: Muur van Geraardsbergen Fastest speed on a bike: 100.8kph down the front of Checkers chasing back on to the bunch in the 2015 Adelaide Tour Funniest thing you seen happen on a bike: The whole idea of old men shaving their legs, dressing up in Lycra and racing each other around in circles on bikes is funny enough, isn’t it?

12.01.2022 How’s this?!!! Bloody Daz gets free crits! I’d like to say he’s a lucky bugger but if you’ve seen him race you’d know it’s not luck! Well done Daz!

11.01.2022 News alert...the #notthedtu Norwood Criterium A grade winner Matt Fox! With a solid field Matt stayed away in a small break of 4-5 riders while his team mates Jason Woodard and Peter Varricchio were further back with the main group covering any moves to bring the break back. The main group were involved in nasty crash on the last lap and thankfully Peter is ok and healing up. Matt Fox has been training the house down and his sprinting skills came to the fore. Congratulations and it was a well deserved win mate

10.01.2022 Great write up from CyclingTips on Zero Friction with the good ‘oil’....errrrr ‘wax’ on chain lubrication. Great supporter of cycling in South Australia we are privileged to have in our team!

09.01.2022 Well done to the Elite guys today to finish the Super Series on a good note. All rode strong today and great to see our young riders progress and get better throughout the series namely Lucas, Matt, Jason and Lewis. They are racing against Australia’s; let alone the World’s best riders. Special mention must go to Daniel Van Der Laan and Daryl Margrate who have guided and nurtured the young riders. They have invested a lot time and training hours and sacrificed their own race to watch them succeed. Congratulations to you all and appreciate your work Daniel and Daryl

08.01.2022 Another awesome result and superb way to finish off the Super Series for the Masters Category 1 team. Congratulations to Juan Pierre Jacobs for the win today....incredible to watch and great viewing. The master tactician and super strong rider deserved the win and has been a huge asset for our team. Andrew Friebe took out 2nd place overall in the series. Thanks for all your efforts weapon and good luck with your new job. Your team work goes unnoticed and such an amicable pe...rson to deal with. You are always welcome back with open arms mate. The team also wins the Overall Teams Classification in the Super Series. Fantastic team work and huge kudos to the riders in the team that made it happen as well that also included Thomas, Matt, Jarrod, Donny, Olivio and Peter. Also thinking of Ryan who is recovering and making tremendous progress. Btw we managed to more importantly make racing hard and had some fun along the way too See more

08.01.2022 Evening race fans! Quick recap of the weekends racing! First up was the COVID Crit at Vic Park, No 3 of the Winter crit series, A fast and aggressive race, no attack was given any space until deep into the race. Every lap, breaks were launching off the front only to be rapidly reeled in and counter attacked. We found ourselves unrepresented in a group of four who were finally able to break the stranglehold of the bunch with only 8 minutes to go, with a calm sense of urgency ...and a massive show of force, Daniel Van Der Laan, Matty Fox and Lewis Walker brought them within reach so the VanDam Racing boys could close the final few metres, catching the break as they entered the final corner. With cat like cunning Daryl dove for the inside but alas the door was closed and as Cipollini once said, Se freni, non vinci! (If you brake you don’t win). Three of the break hung on to take out the podium with Daz still managing to beat the rest! 3rd Vets KOM series was a corker. It was on from the gun with a very strong attack straight away. Never one to be caught napping we were represented in this and for that matter every move that went today. The winning move happened early with our very own ‘dark horse’ Friebs breaking away with one other strong rider. The bunch were happy letting the small break to go until a solo attack went to try to bridge. A steady pace was maintained until the bunch got concerned and started working to bring the breaks back. Soon enough, some were caught, however not all! An energetic chase ensued and did not relent until the base of the final climb. For us mere mortals Willunga hill felt like it had grown in length and gradient. Not to Friebs though, Taking the win and doing it in style!

07.01.2022 Afternoon punters, Another weekend of racing success means more propaganda for you! State titles held on a great course on the river at Mypolonga that included a long uphill gravel section and a short sharp pinch up the main drag of the town. Most of the action happened on the gravel with every category torn apart on it. The new circuit this year saw the team represented well across all categories. Our teams podium finishers include; Jarrod Currie, Matt Hawthorn, Andrew Frie...be, Dave Gomer and Daniel Van Der Laan! Special mention to our elites who were again up against the the National Track Team and managed a 4th for Lucas Hoffman, and 7th for Daryl Margrate! Massive effort considering the caliber of your competition. Your hard work and training is respected and your results are justification! Not content with the precious medals haul, most of the boys backed up yesterday’s efforts at the AHMCCs Kenton Valley GSR today! No word as to how they did yet, but I bet they are ready for a beer! 01.01.2022 Damn this KOM series is a killer. Time to take it up a notch! Troll cyclist.

01.01.2022 Hello Facebook family! Tough day of racing today across the state made tougher by some horrid weather and some tough opposition. Be proud of your team race fans, today was as much about mental toughness as it was about physical toughness. 5-8C, winds gusting to 50kmhr and intermittent down pours. Yuk! Some strong efforts in A and B grade at Macclesfield with the team again featuring in some strong breaks. The elite boys were killers in a stacked field with reports of some ...climbing efforts north of 600w! Scott Goodwin looking very relaxed in the front group! Well done to Andrew Friebe and Lucus Hoffman bridging across to keep the hitters honest. B Grade was fast and friendly. Good bunch of blokes racing fiercely and fairly. Great signs from Edwin Bohdan who was a power house up the climbs. Down south at the SVCC race, our boys scored a podium against some very strong individuals and minor placings after that. Special mention to Matt Hawthorn as well with a very strong performance. Look out podium girls. He’s got an allergy to sex appeal so flowers and a sharp high five are the maximum requirements. Thank you to ‘Fully Promoted’ branding and marketing apparel. We’re a good looking bunch, made better with Fully Promoted apparel. Thanks guys! https://embroidme.com.au/ Chameleon Photography
