18.01.2022 Another exciting addition to our mapping service - Hi-res aerial photography using the eBee Drone. Often a farm's arable areas are in dispute, even after we map from Landgate's aerial imagery. On Friday Arvista http://ow.ly/qgG2O flew for us a small property near Northam for a buyer and the quality is amazing. We'll be publishing the details soon, but is definitely a quality solution to this age-old problem

16.01.2022 For all small businesses and developers who use old school #FTP clients esp. #Filezilla to upload files - don't store the password in the site manager of the client. It sends as an unsecured string and nasties are out there waiting for it. Use the site manager by all means but keep the user name/password in a separate file/manager.

14.01.2022 Windows 8...had our first look at it over the weekend setting up a PC at the farm. There is so much that I want to like about it, but it simply seems half completed as if they're too scared to leave Win 7 behind. You keep dancing between a tiled Metro app-based interface, which is very clean simple (maybe too simple), and the old Win 7 desktop which looks completely outdated now. The most infuriating thing was the Mail app being unable to connect to the ISP's POP3 server beca...use Microsoft doesn't want to support that protocol. Hello Apple??? So, we can't use the mail app and have to download Windows Live Mail 2012 which sits in the Win7 ecosystem. Sigh... We'll keep persisting and keep you updated. http://ow.ly/kymeA See more

08.01.2022 Mighty Text SMS Here's a really impressive app that lets you sms directly from your browser and Gmail account via your phone. Texts appear in on you desktop and you can reply and send new ones. It syncs with your phone contacts and is very stable and super easy to use. The Gmail extension is even cooler. It adds a button under the compose and off you go.... We've checked out several of these apps/extensions and this one is near the top of the pile. http://ow.ly/lly0h
