11.01.2022 Hi everyone, wet seasons here soon. Our glam tents on Roko Island will be closed from the first week of December untill the end of the wet season. We will still... be taking some bookings for tours/charters at that time. Pick up available from Seisia wharf (20 mins boat ride) and Thursday Island (weather dependent) about 50 minutes boat ride from Roko Island. 11.01.2022 We’re finally back in business! Visitors are now allowed to travel to Cape York and Torres Strait as of 12pm today. Sadly Victorians will still have to hang in there a bit longer. 05.01.2022 ROKO ISLAND We have had such a great little island getaway for 2 nights, celebrating our 9 year wedding anniversary. The perfect place to unwind and relax, whic...h is easy to do with Nigel providing excellent service, and making sure we didn’t go thirsty. They had a great selection of beer, wine and soft drinks on the island. They cooked 3 meals a day for us which were delicious, home cooked meals and is probably what made the stay so much more relaxing. Hammocks to swing in, beautiful views of the Torres Strait, fishing from the jetty, exploring the island and a little kids playground were enough to keep us occupied. We have managed to tick off a couple of bucket list items: stay on a private island stay in a glamping tent Thank you so much to Nigel, Jason, Zara and little Malek for being so hospitable and making our stay so enjoyable. We highly recommend checking this place out if your coming up the Cape and want a truly unique experience.
