25.01.2022 In line with the latest advice from the Australian Chief Medical Officer, we recommend that families do not visit their toy libraries for 14 days if they have v...isited Hubei Province in China, or following exposure to any confirmed novel coronavirus case. Toys from these families will be renewed on request. The Chief Health Officers current advice is that people do not need to be isolated at home if they have recently travelled in other parts of China or other countries and are not showing any symptoms of the virus. As with any viral illness, please do not come to the toy library if a member of your family is sick and disinfect all toys before they are returned. If anyone in your house has been unwell, please let the toy library know so toys can be isolated. Information on how to clean toys is available at www.toylibraries.org.au/cleaning-toys If your child or anyone in your family is showing any relevant symptoms, please call your family doctor or health authority for further advice.

24.01.2022 The sun was shining and the kids were having a ball at the toy library yesterday! These cars are super popular in the summer months with a shed full of other outdoor toys to choose from. Saturday 19th Sept between 9.30-10.30am will be the last day to borrow for the term before we close for school holidays. So be sure to return items or borrow some new ones!

24.01.2022 Thanks so much to our members who made it today! As the saying goes, many hands make light work. All our shed toys are sparkling clean and ready for the kids to enjoy. We're open Saturdays during school term 9.30 till 10.30am.

23.01.2022 Our AGM is this Saturday peeps! We need all our active members to attend. These are the main positions on the committee. Without enough committee members, our little community toy library won't be able to run. So please, put your hand up. Starts at 9.30am. At the Family Centre. I might even bring some cupcakes!

21.01.2022 [ O P E N ] The toy library will re open on Saturday 23rd May for the rest of the term. All members would have received an email confirm if they would like to re join for the term or hold off. If you havent received this please let us know. A friendly reminder before returning toys ensure you have given them a good clean.

21.01.2022 Hey Roley toy library friends, you'll have to hang on to those toys just a little longer. We'll be closed tomorrow, due to the 3 day lockdown. 21.01.2022 NEW opening hours term 4! We hope everyone is having a lovely school holidays! We have some exciting news ... the toy library will be open twice a week as of term 4: Thursday’s 11.15am - 12pm [NEW]... Saturday’s 9.30am - 10.30am We are hoping this extra day means some more families may be able to make it in [especially those with little bubs]. We purchased a bunch of new toys recently which have been a huge hit. Borrowing rules are: 5 items at a time with a time frame of 3 weeks. This allows everyone the opportunity to borrow new and well loved toys. Can’t wait to see you all next term, first borrowing day back is 15 October at 11.15am.

19.01.2022 Hey there. As part of our Roleystone Toy Library membership, its a requirement for active members to attend the annual AGM. We have a number of committee members stepping down this year. So we need some new members to step up. Our community toy library cannot run without your help! Volunteers make our community great!

14.01.2022 Can you believe we are now in week 9 of term 4 This means there is only one more Saturday and two Thursdays left to borrow and then the big school holidays. Kids can be so fickle, the toy library is a great way to rotate toys, keep the kids engaged while also not cluttering up your home with things they are no longer interested in. 13.01.2022 [ T H A N K Y O U ] to those who came down this morning to help with the clean out and stocktake of the shed! It was great to see toys that we didnt know were in there and give certain toys a new life and make them super clean ready to borrow again! We also did a cull of toys that we had double ups of/ broken or just not suitable ... this means room for new toys to be added! If you are an active member the roster for term 1 has been sent via email for your shift. Happy la...st couple of days of holidays before school is back! Borrowing for Term 1 starts again next weekend, 8th Feb between 9.30-10.30pm.

11.01.2022 [ C L O S U R E ] the Roleystone Toy Library committee have made the difficult decision to close the toy library temporarily due to COVID-19. The health and well-being of our members is our upmost priority and given the frequency of toys being borrow we felt it was important to take steps to further protect those vulnerable in our community. You will have one last opportunity to return toys and borrow new ones this coming Saturday, 21st Match. We are unsure how long we will ...close for but will keep you informed along the way. So we thought we would share some fun activities you can do with your kids on those hard days! There are lots of great ideas out there but these are from Playgroup WA. My sons personal fav was the scrunch bag as a baby and now cant get enough of the play dough recipe. ... Have fun creating!

03.01.2022 [ S H E D C L E A R O U T ] We hope everyone has been having a wonderful summer break The Roleystone Toy Library will be back open in a couple of weeks ready for term one ~ Saturday 8th Feb from 9.30 - 10.30am to be exact. But before we open for the term we need to do our annual clear out and clean of the outside / shed toys. This will be happening on Saturday 1st Feb at 9.30am. BYO cloth please ALL active members please put this in your diary as it is apart of ...your membership to take part in all stocktakes and meetings. We also said goodbye to toys that no longer serve a purpose at out toy library with donating a bunch. It sure is a great feeling decluttering ... which means room for NEW toys! If you have any toy suggestions please let a committee member know as we will be purchasing some new toys soon.
